I’ve watched the scene a dozen times already and it never gets old .

I could honestly see them just using the House of the Dragon banner as a means of drawing in viewers to the Blackfyre Rebellion and to Aegon's Conquest. Once the Dance of Dragons is over they could do something like

House of the Dragon: Blackfyre and do the Blackfyre Rebellion then just do House of the Dragon: Conquest and chronicle that time

Pay less attention to what they say and more attention to what they wear. The last few episodes starting with Queen Alicient wearing Green for the Rhaenyra Lainor wedding. Rhaenys was wearing black and red Episode 8.

The writers are tell you she will be team black without having her openly declare.

She had her chance to try and screw Rhaenyra during the petitions, she clearly backed her. She wasn't waffling with her words either. If she does betray her later I'll see it as a huge plot twist.

I think he’ll get a nomination. Strong strong performance. Plus, I’m sure people don’t think of him as just the Pedo Priest from Peaky Blinders. Which must be niceZ

Otto would not hold more power than the Queen and have the magical ability to get their House to all act against their self-interests, or endanger themselves for Otto's personal ambitions, it makes literally zero sense. Or that there is any evidence Otto would go against his daughter in that way if she chose to accept Rhaenyra's offering instead of being a vindictive bitch.


Rheanys has also shown her loyalty to her own family and blood, now suddenly she is going to accept betraying her firstborn, and would-be king because Otto just publicly calls Rhaenyra's children bastards? Keeping in mind in this alternative timeline, Laenos would be alive and ruling. Otto would have his head cut off just as quickly as Vaemond had his swiped off, and the rest of the realm would shut the frick up same as they did.

The conversation was predicated on IF Alicent were to accept the offer and why that was better. You are swooping in and just making up stuff that doesnt hold up and bends the logic, power dynamics, timelines, and characters in a way that is not established in the story in order to try and contort things to a place where major friction would still exist. No offense, but it's what bad writing creates, like Season 8 of GoT. Where instead of abiding by the logic of characters and the world they established, you simply break that to produce the end result you want. But on examination it makes no sense.

Laenos would be ruling with Rhaenyra if Alicent accepted Rhaenyra's offer, what are you talking about?

And again, what House could actually stand against a unified Valaryon, Targaryen, and Hightower marriage unified front? Literally all the dragons would be under one banner, all the navy, and control of the largest standing Army

I don't get where the hate for Aemond comes from yet. In this episode he barely said anything at all. We see that he has grown to be an imposing figure and his nephews are clearly no match for him yet at dinner they provoked him with the pig. He made an obnoxious jest in return and after eating Jace's punch like it was nothing he shoved him to the ground with little to no effort before calling it a night.

He is clearly a danger but to say he is a maniac based on what little we have seen of him seems like a stretch unless you are referencing later actions not yet shown on screen.

I agree. I think older Aemond is a badass. What i dont like about him, is what started the fued in the first place.... It was his brother Aegon that was the ring leader of making fun of him before he got is dragon... Why would he take that out on his cousins, which then lead to the fight where he lost his eye.
