It’s always annoyed me that she shits all over Rhaenrya’s kids not being “pure blooded” when they married her to a man that was almost certainly not going to be able to get her pregnant. And she’s forced to go elsewhere to birth an heir to secure her place.

Great episode. I can’t stand Corlys and his family so I’m glad to see them being picked off.
Pretty badass move by little Aemond to go and get the largest, oldest and deadliest dragon alive right after his aunts funeral to be his dragon. And then calling the two bastards exactly what they are to their faces. Then telling his mom to stop crying and that it was a fair trade to lose his eye.

I’m guessing Corlys has died by next episode as they were looking for someone to sit on the Driftwood throne? I also can’t stand his wife the “queen who wasn’t” or whatever they call her.

They’re just looking for an heir because theirs has basically been wiped out between Laenor “dying” after his sister Laena actually died. They are his only direct heirs. I don’t think it’s implying he’s died.

I was unsure what was going on up until Laenor shows up in the boat scene. I was like “wait what?”
Wife claims she knew the fight scene was fake between him and his gay lover. I say she’s full of shite. There was seemingly no indication of that, and I watched it back 3 times now. I just assumed the gay lover was convinced to kill him with promise of life of gold.
