I think so.
Reality is, they both have a share of respect for him despite the situation. She knows he’s miserable. Daemon knows he’s a decent dude after fighting with him at the Stepstones. So I don’t think they’d kill him outright.

Sorry… I’m Team Aemond on this. He had the stones to go claim the dragon, and he faced his cousins, who humiliated and bullied him last episode.
The other kids attacked him because he had the courage to seek his own destiny. While one set of cousins waited for the dragon to be handed to them, the other set of cousins figured Aemond had a place under their arse, and they would just return him to it.
Aemond wasn’t standing for that shite. Good for him.

I kinda feel the same way. The dude claimed the biggest mother fricking dragon in westeros. And Vhagar (sp?) saw something in him that allowed him to do so.

Yeah i think they should've showed us that he didnt actually want to do that and that he knew daemon would be more help to her than he can be

Episode was dark as hell. I wish shows would stop filming in darkness.
Solid episode. Hard to get attached to any character. Show is decent but I can see how it can't draw in everyone

Yeah, definitely planned hence Daemon killing that random guard on the stairs.
One thing that I find interesting is that they are definitely trying to portray the Blacks as the “good” side, that is one thing that the Laenor twist does.
Alicent is the least likable character in the show.
ETA: well Alicent and douche Cole are neck and neck
