His character is weak. He doesn’t think shite through. And yes, not taking 2 seconds to explain to his wife the situation is still a POS move. Not sure how anyone could think otherwise.
Again, trying to save the baby was the right decision. Not telling her was fricked up. It ties into him not telling his daughter or anyone about marrying Alicent.

She knew there was a good probability she could die when having the baby. "The birthing bed is our battlefield". He didn't need to tell her. She knew what was going on. He didn't have time to sit there and explain it to her.
*They reinforced this when Daemon's hoe said she didnt want baby's due to the possibility of death when birthing.

I'm still here, though there was once again a shocking lack of titties.
You know there's an endless supply of these both on the internet and in real life right?

Velaryons don't have dragons. They have ships. It's why the Targaryans are ruling and not them. Go back and listen to Corlys' speech to Daemon
Velaryons weren’t dragon riders, but his family has and rides dragons seeing as how he’s married to a Targ.

They'd be hard pressed to battle Tyenne Martell and Margaery Tyrell in a war of tits.

Again... He has one maybe through his wife. She isn't mounting up and riding that thing into battle. The vast majority of the Targ family would side with the king right now no question. That one dragon wouldn't do shite.

So much wut? in one sentence.

Y’all keep saying this shite about the battlefield thing. Just because she understood giving birth was her role, and she could die from it, doesn’t mean he didn’t have to take a second to say she was in trouble but the baby could be saved. One has nothing to do with the other. I don’t understand how y’all don’t get that.
Not telling his wife, her reaction to what was happening, not being there for his daughter, not telling anyone about Alicent, not going after the pirates, letting Daemon do whatever he wants. All of these things are part of the bigger picture about the King. He is weak, and doesn’t consider how his decisions make him look to others.

The two kids, Laena and Laenor, either have dragons now or get them later. At some point, they each have one though.

Okay guy, you have it all figured out.

I don't really understand why Rhaenyra was pissed at her dad when he announced his new wife. She had to know that they had been seeing each other and she already knew he was being pressured to take a new wife.

She was pissed at who it was. Literally 5 seconds earlier she was cool with the marriage in concept. But she felt betrayed by Alicent who stated on the show that she didn't tell Rhaenyra that she had been spending time with the King and by her father for marrying her at minimum closest friend, possible romantic interest, and the daughter of a scheming SOB.

Did you want him to tell all the people to clear the room so that he could chat with wife and tell her she was as good as dead already but before she goes she will be cut wide open so that she can feel even more pain and agony?
She was going to die no matter what and what she was going to undergo was torturous. Best to go ahead and be done with it instead of delaying and letting the opportunity to save the HEIR TO THE THRONE slip away.

Six months passed from the end of the last episode and this one. Her dad and her best friend have been spending time together for six months and she didn't have a clue?

When it’s Daemon, The Princess, and Corlys are on the same side vs The King then there’s your war that’s not so easily won by either side.

Apparently, she didn't. They made it a point to illustrate that Alicent didn't tell her. And she was fine with her dad getting re-married when they met in private and was also fine with the concept in the council meeting until the bride was revealed...then she was shocked and ran out.
If she had known they were hanging out, don't you think she would have had an inkling in her mind when the King brought up marriage that her dad might want to marry Alicent - that being Alicent's whole motivation for hanging out and all?

It sounds like she had mostly been going to him at night and given the Princess is just that, she probably had no reason to suspect they were meeting secretly. She's not a Littlefinger with his "little birds" or anything like that.
I don't think it's unreasonable at face value to think they'd interact in general, so any daytime visit probably wasn't thought much of at this point. And given the size of the castle could be managed discretly.
