Daemon was right to put her on blast. Situation ain’t a damn joke. You chose this. Stop fiddle fricking about and call the banners, if they don’t come, force them by threat of house torn out root and stem in the vein of harrenhal. She came off SO different than her book character in this one episode. Thought she was super well done in 1-9

In regards to Daemon choking Rhaenyra...I think right after the choke she said,”He never told you” and maybe had kind of a smirk on her face.

He choked her because she has been restraining him in every sense from the beginning of the episode. Even her son by extension restrained him. The revelation of Song of Ice and Fire and speaking Viserys's name again made him lose it. Daemon can be restrained but eventually he's going to pop- just like with his brother, and then come back, just like with his brother.

Within the show from what I've seen I believe she is for sure trying to show strength and leadership to the council and Daemon at the same exact time.

Jace come in and says some shite about his Mom having say so, but I don't think he meant it as an actual order. Jace is trying to be a leader, and repeating what is mother told him and his brother to do.

He and his brother are scared AF, but trying to lead. I watched it as Daemon was being a badass and actually trying to be as cordial/presidential as he can to her and her sons, but he wants some murders right fricking now. He doesn't know how to act. He can't be cool and a killer shadow right now.

He tells Otto he would rather feed his sons to dragons than bend the knee. No hesitation. Daemon wants to fight and win by dominance, fire and blood right, not diplomacy.

Aemond meant to kill or severely frick Luc up. No accident.

Wow, that was absolute trash. Started with a whimper and ended with less than that. I guess now all we can ask is can a GOT property get worse?

What was the stone that Aemond had for an eye?

It's just a sapphire. If you watched the past two intros it shows a sapphire for his part.

Since it doesn't spoil it any longer, in the books he places a sapphire in place of his eye

Seeing the Painted Table in operation fricking owned.

Makes me wonder if Stannis didn't use it like that out of respect to Dragonstone's ancestral family.

I like others was a little angry at first that Aemond’s killing of Luke was shown to be an accident but the more I think about it the more I think this is great. Viserys told Rhaenarya in the first episode that dragons should have never been trifled with and the idea that they can be fully controlled is just an illusion. We see that play out here. You have a teenage boy using a massive war veteran dragon to bully a childhood rival. He’s laughing like it’s a game and when both riders lose control things go too far. This is the disastrous consequence of wielding dragons like swords and we will see far more to come. Also as others have pointed out the books are written as historical accounts which sometimes differ from each other as the sources will disagree with one another. All we know is that Aemond taunted Luke and then after leaving Storms End chased him and wound up killing him. We don’t know what his motivations are.

Well folks, I rewatched the episode and read some things, and I think I’ve officially switched to Team Green. The more I think about it, Raenyra and her squad are just team lol at this point, basically up there with Les Miles from a game planning standpoint.

As a planner, I don’t understand how Raenyra and her squad are so blindsided by this. Otto and his crew have meticulously planned and prepared for this moment. How in the world could Raenyra be so blindsided? How could they not be keeping in-touch with their supporters prior to this, especially when for years there have been rumors and schemes to discredit her sons? They send a toddler on a training wheels dragon to dropoff a letter?

I know it’s a bit futile as I guess everyone dies so not really someone to root for, but I think I’m pulling the ole switcheroo. Still think Daemon is most charismatic, but one eye is a good knockoff version of him and gotta respect the scheming of the Greens. Let’s go, foot pics for all!

One last question, seems I’m different things, what dragon was Daemon singing to? Was that not his? Was that one of the unclaimed dragons? I thought the unclaimed ones were just flying around? They’re kept in cages, or was that him sneaking into some cave and finding it? TIA!

Is adult Aemond the biggest douche/tard in all of Westeros? He’s gotta be top 3 all time.

Otto going to Dragonstone is retarded In reality, they’d have put his head in a box and sent it back home
You just know he had the saltiest ride back home after Rhaenyra chucked his hand of the king pin.

The shot of a Vhagar in the clouds above him outlined was amazing cinematography. Showed the massive size difference beautifully

What is the age difference of Vhagar and Arrex?

I guess I didn’t realize that the size difference was that extreme.

Vhagar was ridden by one of Aegons sister wives when he conquered Westeros with Balerion. It’s the oldest still living

Arrax was born to him so it’s not old at all just as his rider isnt

quote:

By the time of the Dance of the Dragons, Vhagar was the hardened survivor of a hundred battles, had grown almost as large as Balerion, and was the oldest and largest of the dragons in Westeros. Her roar was so powerful that it could shake the very foundations of Storm's End. No living dragon could match her for size or ferocity.[8]

Loved the episode but I'm a Hodor, so some basic questions if you don't mind.

1. Didn't someone say Raynera's kid should go because he's around the same age as Borros? That dude is 30 years older than him.

2. Why did Luke continue inside when he saw Vhagar? He knew shite would go down if he walked in.

3. How did they know it was Aemond that killed Luke and his dragon? There are no witnesses. Can't Aemond just go back and act like nothing happened?

4. I still dont understand why Daemon choked her when she mentioned fire and ice and then she said, "he never told you did he?" Why would she come to that conclusion?

Since your first one is the only with with a non speculative answer I’ll do that one.

They were sent to treat with winterfell and storms end to rally banners to war. A prince has to be the one who does they not some petty lord. He was sent to storms end because he’s younger and it was closer therefore considered more safe. Show never tells you that though

Daemon choked her because she was being cautious and speaking of prophecies two things he always hated about his brother.

for f**** sake, why is daemon choking her such a topic as if its surprising? dude literally killed his last wife with a rock and is known as a very violent/ill tempered person as demonstrated multiple times this season.

he is not a good person.
