For those complaining about lack of action up until this point (somewhat warranted), season 3 will not disappoint in that regard.
Really looking forward to this season!

100% warranted. Pacing was awful in season two and had some really bad story lines for main characters. Still good television but it was a pretty big drop from season one.
Though I fully expect this season to be really good and it's going to start off pretty action packed.

Season 2 was not what they set out to make, though. It would have ended at the Gullet last season if they'd been able to navigate the writers strike and a bizarre lack of funding from HBO.
As a result, though, even if they merge battles together for time, this season should be non-stop blood and war.

i was indeed disappointed.

Strongly disagree. I could've used 3, maybe 4 more episodes of Daemon tripping balls at the spooky castle.

On the app there’s a 15 minute recap of S1 and 2 in the extras.
As for OP, should be plenty of action this season. As blueboy pointed out, in the midst of the Discovery acquisition and all that bullshite they got hamstringed financially in S2 and it cut into how much they could put in action wise. Shouldn’t be an issue at this point.
