to be fair, I was going to wait until the first season was over to watch it.
I do this for most things, not for any woke reason, just because i typically hate waiting week to week
I will be watching this one on premier night and if its good I will keep going, if not I will wait until its done and see reactions.

Then you should probably start charging me rent for that space I occupy in your head with affordable housing in such demand.

I provided evidence. You’re choosing to ignore it.

You showed a guy posting in the thread without any posts from him saying he wouldn't. Not much to ignore there.

I watched WoT
I saw the finale spoiler. I hoped it wasn't true, but decided to not watch the finale and see the reactions.
Watch thread confirmed the spoiler, and I ended my viewership of the show. Have no desire to see season 2 or beyond. They irreparably broke lore, because of this Rian Johnson desire to subvert our expectations of a beloved series.

?? We’re living rent free in your head since you’re so upset about us bitching. I think nothing of woke idiots

What people don't seem to understand is that it is the people making these shows that make them a woke issue.
Take Lightyear, for example. Disney made the lesbian kiss a woke issue, because they wanted people to know they oppose all anti-groomer laws. That was literally the reason they put it back in.
Had they put it in, with no press release, it would have elicited little more than a few eye rolls in otherwise packed to capacity theaters.
They made sure to signal to the woke, and the normies responded to them. It was really just a fa/fo situation.
Same could be said in this case.
You could have just ended up with 5% of GoT nerds gnashing their teeth on D&D forums, after Tyrone Targaryen made his appearance.
But instead they decide to make it a "take that, Whitey!" woke-scold? And it is the people responding to that, who are wrong?
Lulz

So now the people making tv shows and movies are more worried about making woke things instead of making the actual tv show or movie. Well frick me. Lets burn down all of Hollywood if that’s the case. I could give 2 shits about anything else if that’s their new goal in filmmaking.

I don’t want anybody to fail for diversity castings or putting gay/trans people in their entertainment.
I want them to fail for patting themselves on the back for it.

It’s not even that. Lightyear adding it back wasn’t a bludgeoning. It’s pandering. Pride Month is a bludgeoning.
I heard a talk once about a gay guy that sat through his company’s (I think it was Tide) Pride seminar and he came away saying “I think they just want to sell more laundry detergent.” They just wasted 100s of employee’s time and millions in marketing to say we want gay people to buy our stuff they’re already going to buy.
They don’t want my money because I’m gay. They just want my money.
Pixar made the same gamble and lost this time.

Lightyear adding it back wasn’t a bludgeoning.
It was definitely a bludgeon against anyone who supported anti-grooming legislation.
At the same time, they were assuredly pandering to those who wanted child grooming, or just didn't actually understand the law (which was likely 75% of them).

If they want more black people then just include the Summer Isles as all of us book readers know that is where they are at.
