House of Cards Season 3 Spoilers

Of course I searched for this and couldn't find anything. I realize there's been threads on the subject but I feel I did my diligence of searching so KMA.
Just finished season 3 last night. I've got a bad taste in my mouth. Loved the first 2 seasons, but I really feel like they're going the easy way out with Frank and his wife splitting up.
I side with Frank on the whole thing, too. She knew what she was getting into from the beginning. Nothing about their arranged political corruptness is any better or worse than ever. They're still both lying, cheating, back stabbing murders.
Are we supposed to feel sorry for Claire? I feel like she's being a huge count. She knows how this works.
Also, the book writer guy was terrible. His acting just wasn't believable to me. The way he delivered his lines was awful.
Loved the Doug storyline. A man comes full circle. Still wondering what his physical therapist had to do with anything?

Season 3 is the drizzling shits

I thought the Doug storyline was horrible and took away from what made the first 2 seasons so awesome.
I liked season 3, but I think it could have been better
Claire was monumentally annoying

Claire was a HUGE bitch in that last episode. It really made it pretty easy to wait for season 4. Hopefully they can recover from it

She became such a great villain in season 2, but in season 3 she became soft, naive, and frankly stupid.

I just felt like they ran out of ideas. She's smart enough to know the UN embassador thing was a terrible idea to begin with. I felt like the Russian president was great though. He nailed it.
Where do they go from here? Is she going to run against Frank? I feel like now that the journal was destroyed, Frank has nothing on her to bring her down if needed.

I think she is running against Frank. Only thing I can think of.
And she was horrible in 3. Just...terrible.

Claire was bad, bookwriter dude can't act, Doug stuff was stupid, enough with the Russians. Whole season was not even close to the first 2.
Manipulating congress and all that stuff was cool in the first 2. This season had no good story lines. Even Remi character became unlikable.

Season 3 was terrible. Claire really sucked pretty much every minute. Nothing to do with Claire is even remotely plausible.

I mean, the story line went off the rails a long long time ago, so they might as well do this at this point.

They need to get back the classic Doug that goes around manipulating and murdering people

What made Season 3 hard for me to watch is that it gave Frank too much power. He is best when he has little power and can still make big moves.

If this is the plot (like we all suspect), then it may just surpass Heroes as the good series that shite the bed the hardest. It is completely ridiculous that she was chosen as the U.S. Ambassador to the UN, and will be even more ridiculous for her to be a viable candidate for the presidency. Her only governmental accomplishment is ruining peace talks with Russia all over a drama queen gay guy killing himself. Michelle Obama would stand a better chance of being the next President over Claire.
I'll give the first few episodes a shot, but the second this becomes the plot, I'm out and not finishing it. The 3rd Season should have been the final season with Frank's fall forming a trilogy. Instead they're milking it to its own creative detriment.

Robin Wright (Claire) took over a lot of the writing for season 3 so it's no wonder that her character became more prominent to the plot...thereby ruining the series. Season 3 is garbage aside from the Russians. Doug is back which is great but his rise was as slow and drawn out as possible.
The best thing they can do to season 4 is unexpectedly kill off Claire, making Frank Underwood a sympathetic figure to the nation and springboards him to a second term.

I'm withholding judgement on season 3 until I watch season 4. By itself, it is bad, but depending on how they wrap it up, it could be viewed differently.

Claire is reckless, immature, a complete bitch, and insane through the season
Pretty much a 180 from her character on the first two parts

I wish Zoe Barnes was still in the show

How can she run? They've already had the Iowa caucus, seems unrealistic if not downright impossible to have a candidate emerge now. Aside from all the reasons she would be an awful candidate, that alone shows how this isn't where the story is going.
I won't watch if it does

This is what I'm hoping for...Frank kills her and gets the sympathy vote from this "tragedy."
