Hot take - Just watch S2E8 of HALO and you won't miss anything. SPOILERS

I unfortunately suffered through 15 hours of this crap to get to the last episode.
Anyone whose played the games before will miss *NOTHING* by skipping everything that came before except 15 hours of mostly dumb side stories.
For those with questions; Master Chief doesn't even put on his armor the ENTIRITEY of S2 until the last EP and even then, he doesn't don the helmet until 30 minutes from the end.
Everything you like about HALO is contained & condensed into this one episode and you don't have to watch filler like 2 fat gay men kiss which has ABSOLUTELY frick TO DO WITH shite other than to get that scene in there.
UNSC vs Covenant fleet firefight, the Flood, dual needler action, Cortana being rescued by MC from a ship about to crash, HALO planet exploring, Arbiter showdown, MC wielding an energy sword, Guilty Spark 343...
This should have literally been S1E1 and then let the story progress from there.

This show is so fricking terrible. I can understand wanting to make changes to the source material but when you make something that is infinitely worse...whats the point. I'm sure budget constraints did not help and in order to tell the mainline story of Halo on film woulve've cost a fortune. Hell just a movie showing the Fall of Reach in all its epic glory would've cost a fortune.... but were there no other options than to completely butcher the franchise?
I would have been satisfied with a good side story..Perhaps with an ODST squad and just have the Blue team and the chief show up here and there. Halo has an such an extensive and interesting well of lore to draw from and instead all the show writers took a diarrhea dump in a bucket, scooped it up and splashed it on to Paramount.

I enjoyed season 2.
I’m also not a nerd who played Halo campaigns by myself and read Halo books and took this show that seriously based on that.
My Halo knowledge comes from playing countless hours of system link with other human beings present in the room with me, with others in the adjacent room since the Ethernet cord we had was only 25’ long.

MC should never have been shown without his gear on.
Anyone who played the games realizes that he and Cortana carrying on as they did, would’ve made an excellent series.
Yet another example of Hollywood not respecting the fans or the source material. I get so tired of saying it, and even more tired of shills, crying “it can’t be just like in the game“ or “this is fine!“

I feel your pain. That game came out in high school and no one ever thought it would even be possible for that to eventually be a movie.. but they shite the bed… even with going in with no expectations.
The whole romance subplot between himself and that human covenant lady was just so unnecessary… they should have kept it to the Keep it Simple Stupid model
