Clearly " get us a tent" meant they got a place to stay.
She met a guy who frickes her and promised to take her away.
She left the kid with the chinese and gave him a goodbye screw as a thanks for everything.
No wonder y'all dont like the movie you have the mental capacity of a toddler. Jesus is it that hard to piece together?

estimates near 100 million after expenses.
The 100 mil budget was for parts 1 and 2 together. After VOD and streaming revenue they'll make their money back just off 1.

Yeah. I finished it. I thought the second half was a good bit more confusing than the first.
I genuinely thought I had skipped a section. It's my type of movie so still glad I watched it and will try the other parts, but the last 45 minutes was a mess.

This was a great show, can't wait to see the other chapters.

Man, we tried to get through the first hour twice over the weekend. Last 45 minutes being a mess means we are probably just going to pass on watching the rest.

Ideally, it’s a hit on Max, and rest of the saga is moved from theatrical releases onto MAX. It could be a win-win-win for Costner, audiences, and Max.
That ship sailed long ago. No matter how it turns out on Max, this is going to be a financial bust. I'm not even talking about whether the movies are good or not or if the reviews get better with the next few, just financially it's not going to do good.

Maybe. Streaming rights are negotiated based on box office returns. The rights for chapter 1 were likely much cheaper for max than they would have been if it were successful. And now it's looking like chapter 2 won't have a box office, which reduces its value on VOD.
Warner and Costner will never divulge how well these do VOD or how much Costner recouped from streaming, but it's hard to imagine a scenario where this feels like a success story.

I thought it was very good and entertaining. Looking forward to the rest.

Just finished it. I thought it was good. I got a Godless vibe from it but there were so many storys jumping back and forth it took me a while to get oriented with the characters and the different storyline.
I got the impression she knows this guy, a boyfriend/husband? But I don't see how she will tie into Chapter 2 now that she has dumped the kid and disappeared.

hopefully that was the end of her arc. She doesn't really bring anything to the film. we got more nudity out of the uppity wagon gal than the street smart hooker.

Marigold was savvy enough not to give it away. Juliette was just whipping them out for all the cows to see, gratis.
