I know it's lily but why is she being so ridiculous?

Lily is probably the biggest count on this show. The only reason I am glad she came back from her selfish SF adventure is because Marshall being depressed sucked.

well that episode went nowhere except to show that little part at the end with ted (even though he isn't a daughter…)
Posted on 3/3/14 at 7:27 pm to Moustache
And now Ted is crying, did his mom die or something?
Posted on 3/3/14 at 7:27 pm to Mr Gardoki
i think that's what was implied

No. Wifey must have cancer. Whole show is reminiscing. Ugh

Well that was pointless if so.

I am on the wife dies bandwagon.

Yeah the mother has cancer. He is telling them because she lost her battle.
Thats why Ted talks about how every moment is worth it with her.

I thought this a long time ago but figured they wouldnt end it on a sad note

Yup. Who else tells their husband that you are afraid he is going to be stuck living in his memories. They think she is dying.
It's entirely possible she pulls through though

I think she is already dead by the time of his telling his kids the story.
I also wouldn't be surprised if something happened with Barney so that Ted and Robin turn up together by the same time. I know that suspicion has been thrown around a bunch, but I think that is what will happen. I mean his story started with him meeting Robin, and not their biological mother.

wasnt there a flashback where ted and marshall are at a college reunion (do those really exist?) in 2030 or some shite?
At the end he asks "where is my wife?" and then he laughs....she was alive at that point.
Although I think she is dead too.

So the last scene of the show is the kids, Ted, and the gang at the Mother's funeral?
Posted on 3/3/14 at 8:02 pm to Bamatab
She is referred to as Aunt Robin. No way that happens.
