Based on the graphic novel by Richard McGuire, “Here” tells the century-long story of a single house and all the different people who lived there. The camera sits at a fixed angle for the entire 104-minute duration without moving.
The fifth movie Zemeckis and Hanks have made together, but the first reunion for Wright and writer Roth since Forrest Gump.
Forrest Gump, Castway, and Polar Express are classics, but this feels like another Pinocchio. De-aging AI technology isn’t there yet and the visuals in general need some work.
Releases November 15, 2024.

Interesting concept. Has a feel of "A Ghost Story" movie that came out a while back.

Like the concept. I feel like I just saw the movie though.

Looks like a TV movie and the concept has been done countless times before. The whole de-aging thing hardly ever looks good either, going to pass on this one.

First impressions:
Ambitious
Beautiful
Hokey
Could be great, could be a disaster
Presented like a play
The camera placement seems kind of odd to me

Instead of the den, the porn parody will have the static camera placed in a bedroom.

Interesting concept, cool trailer. The music choice pulled me in more than anything.
Take a straight and stronger course
to the corner of your life
Make the white queen run so fast
she hasn't got time to make you a wife
'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time
And its news is captured
For the queen to use!
Move me on to any black square
Use me anytime you want
Just remember that the goal
Is for us all to capture all we want (Move me on to any black square)
Don't surround yourself with yourself
Move on back two squares
Send an instant karma to me
Initial it with loving care (Don't surround yourself)
'Cause it's time, it's time in time with your time
And its news is captured
For the queen to use!
Diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit didda
Diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit diddit didda (Don't surround yourself with yourself)

A Man Called Otto cliched sentimentality with a uncanny valley cgi de-aging. Hard pass.

The camera never moves from a fixed position inside a home for the entire 104-minute runtime, as the viewers are treated to the stories of the people who made a home there.
So Andy Warhol lives?
There better be some amazing acting.
Eh....doubt I'll watch it....Director talent innovative camera shot heavy movies are more my thing. If I want to go to a Play, I'd rather see it live. But at least they're trying new things that were once old things instead of just another Captain Marvel.
