The Investigation is one of the best police procedurals that I’ve ever seen.

It’s a pretty faithful attempt at continuing Alan Moore’s story and commentary (nevermind that it actually serves as a demonstration that heavily left leaning government agendas result in abject failures).

Now whether you agree with Moore’s point of view is certainly something to consider, too. If you dislike the graphic novel, you won’t like the show.

i was pretty sour on it at the time and cancelled HBO (that had more to do with GoT ending and sucking) but went back and watched it a year later. I softened on second viewing.

I think it was bit more heavyhanded than necessary and I disagree on your parenthesesed part. They were showing heavily left leaning government agendas, but presenting it as right wing white supremacism to the audience. Probably just my biases showing though. Moore's commentary is actually disconcerting to me because it just doesn't line up to the GN itself in some areas and i find it akin to JK Rowling just making shite up when asked unanswered questions about the end of Harry Potter.

to the OP:

Undoing
Sharp Objects
Big Little Lies (season 1 is amazing. season 2 has great acting, but it the most worthless season added for no reason and you're not any happier for watching it)
The Night of
True Detective
John Adams
Nevers

not only was that a holy shite moment... when the news came out the next day and you realized the docuseries actually played a role in what happened in real time it was an even bigger HOLY shite.

I'll die on the hill that Westworld season 1 was one of the best seasons of TV in the last 10 years. Was so great. A damn shame that the Nolan's needed to kiss their own arse for the next two seasons.
