I’m a hard of hearing and fluent in American Sign Language.

It bothers me that Maya putting her signing hands out of frame.

Also, Clint sign “more” wrong

Show is very good. Feels more like a Netflix Daredevil style more than the other Disney+ stuff.

I haven't watched E3 yet, but that was my impression after the first two. I'm a little biased on that though because I love the comic run so much and since the Netflix shows came out I was hoping it would be adapted because the comic was done street level like the Netflix shows were. I just always felt like it would fit neatly into that world.

It makes me a little more sad that Iron Fist ended prematurely. The end of the second season they were setting up a season that would be based largely around the Fraction/Aja run on that character, and those two are largely responsible for the look and feel (and storyline) of this Hawkeye series.

I suspect the cinematographer isn't used to filming ASL. You have to show the hands because that is the words with ASL.

Also, given that I am deaf as a fence post I really do need to learn ASL at some point.

Fraction is an EP on the show.

Interesting note is that Alaqua Cox (Echo) is actually deaf in real life.

Not really into The Swordsman being a full on douche.

Swordsman has been a douche since I was reading Avengers comics in the 70's. Of course he kinda had his reasons because his chick Mantis kept throwing herself at Vision.

Also, I would die for a multi-verse mention of the Swordsman/Kang events somewhere along the line - if not in this series, maybe later.

This show seems like a goofy version of Daredevil mixed with the Winter Soldier show.

I am more intrigued after eps 3 but man they really dont know how to have Clint do martial arts well smh to be an Avenger he really cant fight without the bow...which is not how his character is in other media.

Daredevil is still the top tier Marvel show to beat..all the others in second place

Strange complaints. This is how the MCU version has always been. When he went hand to hand combat vs Black Panther he held his own for a little while but he’s never been that kind of fighter in the MCU

I just caught up on all 3 episodes and I like the fact they haven’t lost sight of the fact Hawkeye is still a badass who fought with the Avengers and went up against AI robots and Aliens multiple times. He’s just so calm in the car chase while Kate is freaking out. This is nothing to him but he still cares, which is good. But it’s also a good piece of writing to knock Clint down a peg by re-introducing his hearing impairment.

The phone call scene was brutal to watch. Very well done.

Barton has always been portrayed in the MCU as a wetworks operative. (Assassin)

Agreed. He's not Shang Chi or Steve Rogers. He's not going out there with a frontal assault. Doesn't make him less badass.

I also know this is about Renner handing the role off the Steinfeld but I hope he still makes appearances now and then. He handles the role of mentor really well.

I don't mind the MCU take on it. In the comics his fighting prowess was usually defined by "trained in hand to hand combat by Captain America." That didn't mean as much over the years when they applied that line to tons of people. One thing the MCU could have taken from the comics is that I think his outfit had at least some protective features in the comics which made the fact that he could survive battle scenes with hyper powered villains at least a little more belivable.

She’s also a real amputee with a prosthetic leg, so mad props to her.

He said in an interview recently that he would like to continue playing the character.

I thought the car chase scene was good but I can’t really get into the show for some reason. It just feels campy and forced. Just my personal opinion. But I also enjoyed falcon and winter soldier, so take that fwiw

This show has given me more of an appreciation for what Hawkeye did over the past 10 years. He’s an OG badass who has gone up against the best in the universe with only a bow and his smarts. Then he absolutely wrecked shite as Ronin. He just wants to retire and go live with his family at this point.

Just think how small of a threat tracksuit mafia is compared to what he’s gone up against yet he still cares to see it through with Kate.

Renner can be a damn good actor, phone call was top notch.

There’s a lot to put together in the last 3 episodes. Enjoying this one much more than FATWS, credit to Renner and Steinfeld’s charisma on screen.

He has gone against Ultron and Thanos. He has fought alien armies and robot armies. The tracksuit mafia is a joke to him.

But still, he seems afraid of the boss behind the boss. I was so excited by the glimpse of Fisk, and the feeling of dread building for his eventual reveal. Daredevil did such an incredible job of building up fear of Fisk and what he would do. I would be a bit surprised if we saw more than a glimpse until a post credit scene, however.

I think he regrets what he did as Ronin. He basically was Frank Castle with a sword, dispensing brutal justice against those taking advantage of a broken world after losing his family.
