I don't defend Walter. He's a jackass. But, once he comes back into his own as a top dog, I'd think that he'd develop a sense of confidence that would be palpable. And we see that with the Say My Name scene.

The scene where Walt turns down Gus’s offer on the meth recruiting trip is completely ridiculous on further review. Walt loves cooking meth more than life itself. He really has a genuine passion for it.

I'll be honest, I just found her ginger overweight underbite extremely unattractive and it made everything she did and said annoying. Anna Gunn did a terrific job as an actress but I'm an a-hole and I didn't like her face and voice

She's not attractive and never has been. She was much younger when she appeared in Deadwood and was dog ugly in that series as well.
But Walt was pretty damn ugly himself, so it kind of makes sense.

His only positive trait is that he does seem to enjoy investing in younger people. Naturally that tends to get warped into manipulation because he’s a bastard but he likes it even before it reaches that point.
Point being, teaching wasn’t some prison sentence for him. It actually suited him well.

Disagree. Skyler sucked all the energy out of the show just like every nagging wife does in criminal related shows.
Skyler and Carmella Soprano are two of the worst characters on TV.
When I tune in to watch a mob show, I wanna see mob shite. Nagging wives aren’t entertaining or interesting, but are annoying. And if they aren’t least attractive (and Skyler/Carnella weren’t), it’s bad TV.
That’s why I liked Narcos the best of these shows. It showed me Pablo Escobar and the other drug lords doing drug lord stuff. Not their nagging wives bitching
