Has anyone watched all 26 episodes of the famous WWII documentary World at War (1973)?

I want to watch the whole thing, but the British narration puts me to sleep every time

I think the real treat of this one, from what I understand, are the interviews with so many German and Japanese officials.

I have. Knocked it out in a weekend. 13 hours on Saturday and 13 hours on Sunday.

I want to do a rewatch.

I have only seen the first part but would love to go through all of it, where can it be streamed?

Yes I've seen it all it's fantastic.

It's funny that you say it puts you to sleep because that's precisely why I watch it. Right before bed it knocks me out every time

I've found at least the first few episodes on YouTube

It's on BluRay on Amazon if you want to buy

26 hours of coverage! How have I never heard of this before? Is it more European theater vs Pacific or is it pretty balanced?

I own it on DVD

It’s the greatest docuseries ever on WW2

Its almost as good (or equally as good) as PBS’ Vietnam: The 10,000 Day War is on the Indochina conflict

It’s the best WW2 documentary series without question. And it’s narrated by Laurence Olivier! You should try watching it again.

Hopefully she said it while wearing sexy undies and a "come hither" look on her face

Absolutely the best WW2 documentary. It was made back when numerous people that lived through it spoke about it. Those people are gone now, this documentary will never be topped.

Olivier's narration is great, I also love the opening to each segment.

I have watched it all several times. And will watch it again. I have the Bluray set.

It's great. Before all the left-leaning navelgazing

Larry was probably the greatest actor of all time.

Now, having said that, if I want to take a nap in the middle of the day, I will pop on an episode (they're on YT) and doze off.

It is a legendary series, though. Nothing tops it for a documentary about WWII.
