Give this movie a watch

Movies typically land on one platform when they make their streaming debut, but starting Tuesday, February 1, anyone with a Hulu subscription or an HBO Max subscription will be able to to watch Nightmare Alley with little to no trouble at all. This is because of a deal Disney and Warner Bros. struck in 2021 that carves up the Fox theatrical releases, as first reported by Variety. We have seen this with Ron’s Gone Wrong which debuted on HBO Max and Disney+ in December 2021, and will again when Free Guy makes its streaming debut on the two services on February 23.

Yep, I saw this was on HBO as of February 1. Also Network, which is a classic I’ve never seen.
Did you see Free Guy by any chance?

I haven't seen it yet, but it's definitely on my list

Yes, don’t miss this movie, absolutely fantastic! But, if you’ve never seen the original it’s a must watch. Probably my all time favorite noir film. Do yourself a favor and watch both!

I watched the original Sunday on criterion because it left there. Watching the new one this weekend

Thanks for the heads up. It seems to always take me a little while to getting around to seeing his movies but they always live up to the hype.

I watched it, thought it was a bit slow to begin and most of the “twists” were pretty predictable, but still really well-done with such great acting!
Def worth a watch.

Man I ended up loving this one.
Definitely could see the ending coming from a mile away but Cooper did such a great job to close out the movie it didn’t even matter

Watched it last night. I was glued to the screen every second. A lot of the twists and turns are telegraphed but the execution is so good it doesn't matter. I love depictions of that time period, anything carnie related and con artists so that might skew my opinion but 10/10.\
Also, the cast is top notch. Unrelated but, this movie also made me realize that I wouldn't be mad at an Indiana Jones movie with Bradley Cooper.

Feels weird being nostalgic about 2012 but this movie feels very 2012 ish to me if that makes any sense I think it might be because it’s a big budget A Lister type movie that doesn’t happen as often, but is clearly a modern movie with the camera and effects. Maybe it’s just because this is the first real thing I think I’ve seen Cooper in since that time
As I was watching it felt like it was borrowing a bit from The Master, a little from Shutter Island, a little from Mad Men, and a little from The Prestige to make this concoction of a really fun mystery thriller
And yeah the cast would make Wes Anderson blush. After like 3 minutes of screen time I saw like 5 awesome actors/character actors
ETA also want to add that I think this is by far Coopers best performance. There were times where it took me a few moments in the scene to ever recognize him, because he was playing a much much darker character than I’ve seen him be before. I need more of that

Exactly how I felt watching.
Took me a minute to figure out that Ezra was the dad from Step Brothers, and that meant we had the Step Brothers parents.

I couldn't understand why Paul Anderson would take a role like Geek #1.
Very good movie.

Great movie. I had never come across Theo original. All aspects were great, imo.

SPOILER
It didn't occur to me until the moment he approached that new carnival that he might become the new Geek. My heart sank right there.
GREAT ending.
Del Toro isn't all that prolific but he's never boring. Really enjoyed Hellboy, both of them.
