At the very least, listen to what he says in the first couple of minutes of the video. It looks like it might be happening.

How long has he been dribbling out chapters or claims that he has done so while producing absolutely nothing? It’s been 5402 days since his last release in this series and yet we’re supposed to believe that the end is imminent ?

There are kids in high school born after the first chapters of Winds of Winter came out.
GRRM has no clue how to finish his books.

Words are wind. If this is based on the 4chan post from early April, his publisher already announced it was fake.

Yep. Ill believe winds is coming when its in my hands. Until then I dont even have harsh feelings towards him. Those books brought me to a decade+ of stories and got me back into the reading hobby. I've since read so many other great books I never wouldve touched if not for ASOIAF inspiring me to search out more in the fantasy genre.
The Greatcoats
King killer Chronicles
The Gentlemen Bastards
The First Law Trilogy
Mistborn

Isn’t this another GRRM/TWOW situation? I haven’t read them, but I did meet Rothfuss last year at a book tour event for Abercrombie’s The Devils. He moderated the Q&A and specifically banned questions about the unreleased book.

Don't get me wrong, GRRM is ridiculous, but Rothfuss is a far worse situation than GRRM. He's only produced two books in the series since 2007, and the second book in the series sucked.

The gentleman bastards series will likely never be finished either, but at least Lynch isn't a dick to his fans like the other two.

It is haha but the first book was so good idc.
The second book wasnt as good as first and third may never come
Its coming most likely next year. He just dropped another short story as well.
Gentleman bastards is my personal favorite. So good.
It really couldve ended after any of the books anyway there arent really cliffhangers and every book has its conclusion.

This is true of the first two books, but the third book is a pretty big cliff hanger. And the first is definitely one of the best fantasy books of the last thirty years or so no doubt.
And much like GRRM, I'll believe Lynch is putting out the next book when it is on the shelves. But I think he's definitely the most likely of the three to get one finished. And probably the only one I even care about at this point.
But Lynch's series is supposed to be 7 books, so I have zero faith it will come close to finished.

Call me when the book is available for sale
Somewhat ironically, words mean nothing in this context.

The book was way overdue when they made the joke about it Logan Lucky.
That movie is almost a decade old.

We went through this before in 2019 when the actor playing Barristan claimed he had finished the books and GRRM had to dispute it.
We also know that GRRM at one point told his publishers he was finished but then missed multiple deadlines.
I won’t believe it until I physically see the book on the shelf. Even a pre-order can get pushed back and I don’t trust it either if it happened.

We already know the ending. It sucks.
