I hope the don’t screw this up. My favorite DC character. I enjoyed the RR movie but know that it isn’t received well. This could bring the GL universe back and get people interested in DC again so that a true Justice League can come out on the big screen. Not that shite they did a few years ago. Get the right story and villains (legion of doom) and it would be huge.

Still hoping for the best.
The previous Green Lantern animated series and the animated films were amazing.

Sweet. Hal, Guy, John or Kyle?

Based on the DC Comics property, the show was first announced as being in development last year. Plot details are now available for the first time, however. The show will depict the adventures of a multitude of Lanterns, including Guy Gardner, Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz and

So dumb.
You literally have 3 of the best characters in all of comics, plus at least a solid B-Tier in Kyle....and we're going with Alan Scott.
Ridiculous for the agenda.
It's John or Bust. Hal is great, but limited because he is so important. John is just an awesome character. Easily my favorite Lantern.

Good for you man.

These really are the only options. I don't understand leaving John, Hal, or Kyle out of this unless there is a movie planned.

They're almost certainly being saved for film. This could be part of the larger universe, similar to what Matt Reeves is doing with Batman.

How many Alan Scott comics have fans even read?
None
That is why his book got cancelled.
Maybe if you and the rest of the Pride Parade spent more on representative literature, and less on social justice nonsense. . .well, then maybe there would be more, and better written, queer characters

I thought that came and went (no pun intended) with New 52.
He's a least bi this time.
Here's a clip from his first post-52 appearance (it's a flashback scene in Green Lantern 80th Anniversary Special, released in June):

I had no idea there so many passionate Green Lantern fans.
I don’t even understand what his superpower is. “Watch out! He has a lantern. And it’s green!”

The lantern is just the recharger, the real power is in the ring (a charge generally lasts 24 hours, unless it's been under very heavy use). It can be used to focus the user's willpower into hard-light constructs whose strength is based on the willpower of the user.
In the greater scheme the Green Lantern (the others aside from Alan Scott) is sort of a galactic policeman belonging to the group known as the Green Lantern Corps. This series is supposed to focus on the Corps, hopefully with stories in the Twilight Zone or early seasons of Stargate SG-1 vein.

That makes perfect sense. If you’ve smoked a lot of weed.

It’s Aladdin, with the power of the Genie instead of the Genie having the power.
Alan Scott was based on Alan Ladd (Al Ladd in).
