Interstellar - docking scene
I’d even suggest including the scene/sequence leading up to this when Mann pushes Cooper down the rock face.

Probably already mentioned
The Searchers Doorway Scene...that should be a #1 seed or at least a #2.
It's so beautifully shot and framed and it's the Duke and he carries her home like still a child. I love how everyone goes to silhouette once they enter the dusty West and the danger of the outside.
Could be still the best shot scene I've ever seen to this day
I don't know how it was done 60 years ago.
The opening scene of Touch of Evil...I can think of tons of actors who copied Orson Welles...Tarantino, Paul Thomas Anderson, Scorsese.
This scene is still genius today. It was unthinkable back then. And apart from crane shots to close-ups uncut, look at the choreography...
This thing was timed to the second and you could tell it was Welles stage history that helped this scene be what it was.
It's a mixing of great stage choreography and new film skill. And at the end of the scene he goes Gonzo chaotic that we see all the time now for the audience to feel the chaos of that moment. Something people wouldn't do again until 20 years later.
It's a landmark of cinema innovation.
And Welles said the gate guard at the end kept messing up his lines they had to film this gigantic choreographed scene over 6 times.
There wasn't single cut or edit.

Unicron transforms (now, you shall witness its dismemberment.) - The Transformers: The Movie (Orson Welles was a great choice for voice actor.)

Just to be clear...
It is the best movie scenes, not the best movie lines. They are two completely different things and I think some of you have them confused based on the nominations.
The entire scene will be up for the tourney. So keep that in mind, and stop nominating and start voting on the ones so far cause I have over 200 lol

Yeah, I have almost 250 scenes cause everyone has different ones, the total count is around 315 votes overall, some multiple on one scene.
I wish more people loved the same scenes lol
