I like it, it has me in a comics mood.

I hope you're wrong

this fricking show, man. first 30 minutes i was groaning thinking it was a pretty lame episode. then it COMPLETELY REDEEMS ITSELF! the second half was great. penguin continues to be the star of the show.
the barbara/renee storyline actually seems interesting and i like the way they are slowly sprinkling arkham into it.
the ending was great. very satisfying "oh shite" moment. starting off slow but finished very strong.

Needs to be on HBO

Great episode. The balloon killer angle was just comic booky enough, without going too far. I'm liking the slow build on young Bruce figuring out what needs to be done. Penguin working for Maroni is an entertaining move.
Gordon's girlfriend is a weak link. And I stand corrected on Fish Mooney. Smith was a distraction this week. I'm now on the bandwagon to see her killed off. I think she believes that she's on an Adam West type of Batman show.

Nothing like trying too hard. I think she's getting too much on air time.
Show needs to tighten up some, the "dirty cop" who was "ballooned" had a gun on him. Not sure why he didn't shoot the balloon or the handcuffs.

yea that one had me kind of cringing at the writing also.....Just like in the pilot episode with them killing an "innocent" man whom had already been a convicted felon, shot at them, and was fixing to stab Gordon
I don't find Fish too over the top, she is overacting some but I think a lot of you guys on here are expecting a Christopher Nolan film here when it's just a show on Fox based off of a comic..Accept it for what it is, and you'll appreciate it more

Will Jim and Barbara's daughter be Batgirl?

I forgot to record it. Will find it tonight and watch

I would be more accepting of her if everyone was oozing their lines like she is. It's like placing the Eartha Kitt Catwoman into a more serious show. She's just pushing it a bit too hard. The more scenes that she shares with Falcone, the more she sticks out.
It's not killing the show for me, but she's definitely one of the few bad things about this show.

Either that, or Barbara gets whacked, Jim marries someone else, he names their daughter Barbara because he's a jerk. :)

So was that Maroni that Cobblepot was talking to in the restaurant?

i dont think itll happen this season, but i can definitely see this happening. then Gordon will go on a bender

My rationalization: By the time he thought of it, he was too high.
I thought that the episode would end with Gordon going up by himself, and Bullock having to decide if Gordon should live or die. They surprised me with the way they ended it.

Yes, Maroni is the guy from Dexter.
