quote:

Queen Daenerys Targaryen, First of Her Name, invites you to Dragonstone. My queen commands the combined forces of Dorne and the Reach, an Ironborn fleet, legions of Unsullied, a Dothraki horde and three dragons. The Seven Kingdoms will bleed as long as Cersei sits on the Iron Throne. Join us. Together we can end her tyranny. I appeal to you, one bastard to another — for all dwarves are bastards in their fathers’ eyes. Tyrion Lannister Hand of the Queen

no mention of "bending the knee" as danaerys requested.
could be nothing, or a continuity error...

could also make in interesting when jon gets there

Tyrion didn't mention "bend the knee" on purpose. Would've seemed a more hostile gesture if he did.

I think Tyrion absolutely left that part out on purpose

Tyrion definitely left it out on purpose. During my rewatch I noticed his facial expression when she said that . She's lucky to have a diplomatic hand like Tyrion because Jon sure as hell wouldn't have gone if she said "Bend the knee or fry like your grandfather and uncle!!!"

I vote on the latter.

Tyrion definitely left out the "bend the knee" part intentionally. Now whether it will have real implications for the Danny/Tyrion relationship, whether it will be smoothed away with a few lines, or whether it will be used to just make Danny doubt Tyrion long enough for her to do something stupid against his advice remains to be seen.

I think Jon will kneel. I dont think he really cares all that much about his pride or his crown at this point, and he saw what pride did to Mance

yeah, I don't think Jon gives a frick about titles and land. He cares about keeping the army of the dead out of the seven kingdoms.

Getting Dany and the dragons to go fight the white walkers in any manner, even if he has to die again for it, would be a win for him.

Just finished a rewatch.

Just noticed the connection where Theon's sister was asked what role Theon will play when she becomes Queen and she explicitly states that he will be her advisor.. and her protector.

Not 5 minutes later he is literally jumping ship.

I think Jon knows that he is in a precarious situation with some of his bannermen. I think he will bend the knee if she (temporarily) abandons her ambition for Casterly Rock and Kings Landing and moves all of her forces north to face The Night King, but I also think she will refuse to do so.

They can just lock Davos and Tyrion in a room to mediate the question. Maybe they can come up with a compromise like: Jon agrees to bend the knee AFTER the realm is secured from the White Walkers with the stipulation that he gets access to the dragonglass (I kinda doubt she would throw in the use of her dragons at this point). Or that Jon agrees to bend the knee but stipulates he is only doing it for himself. His successor would have to agree to it themselves (I'm assuming that the crown would require any new lords or kings to take the oath themselves anyway).

Truth is I'm not sure Jon would even want to be king once the danger is past.

So I've seen an interesting theory about how the White Walkers get past the wall. Mother fricking Ice Dragons. Now wouldn't that be some crazy shite

Nor was there a "commands" for Jon to come there. Just an "invites".

He could do a marriage proposal. He has the men and kingdoms to do such. He commands the North, Vale, and it's safe to assume the Riverlands with the Freys gone. I could see Dany accepting that so long as she was the true ruler over him until her death.

Don't think he's worried about marriage right now either

Tyrion will be the one to bring up the marriage proposal IMO.
