Ughhhh I want to participate in this thread but after reading all the fricking spoilers im avoiding it like the plague because I feel like 90% of it is legit after seeing the path were on the first two episodes.

The annoying thing is the budget argument is weak. I get that CGI is expensive, but it feels like they've effectively written the dire wolves out. The budget can't be this restrictive.
And it's even more annoying we lost a rare ghost scene for the extended Grey Worm/Missandei scene.

I am not sure that her Direwolf will not be scene again. No reason for the scene in my opinion other then to remind you it is running around. I see her being saved at some point by the wolves.

I've read all the spoilers, but like others, I haven't let it color my posting in these threads.
Just don't respond to the people who get too close to the spoilers - whether you think they are getting there organically or not.
I was accused for two seasons of being a book reader in the Hodor thread, when I wasn't. I finally gave in and read the books just so people would shut up about it.

I have a separate thread for people who read the Reddit spoilers and want to talk about leaks for future episodes. I also post in here as well but I don't discuss the leaks at all in this thread.

I read up until episode 6 and im upset I did to that point. Letting the final episode be a secret for myself though.. I hope.

I'd love for it to be similar time next year, which I think is the absolute best case scenario.
I could see later in 2018 or anywhere up to spring 2019. I don't see it bein later than that.

If any leaks come out for S8, I'm going to do my best and not read them. I remember a couple of leaks came out last year about The Door, Jon being resurrected, and BotB, but I don't recall reading about any other ones ahead of time/the entire season being leaked. I caved in and read the S7 leaks but I definitely want to be surprised next year since it'll be the final season.
IMO the earliest we get S7 is November 2018 and the latest April 2019. I don't think we'll have to wait until July 2019. It shouldn't take two full years for them to film and edit 6 episodes, especially since they're going to start filming in October I think.

There's no way that HBO is going to try to compete with football season

You're right; I figure late 2018 will be a no-go because of football and the holidays.
Waiting until late February-May 2019 probably makes the most sense. I just really hope we don't have to wait until July 2019 since that'll be a full 2 year wait

I thought about this during a re-watch. If the wall comes down and the army of the dead and the night king are destroyed, there would be no need for the Night's Watch, Castle Black or a Maester for it. This would leave Sam free and clear to reclaim his birthright.
