Still, if you are sailing in (non-magical) fog, your vision is basically nonexistent. The skill it would take to scout Yara's fleet without her noticing, find the fog bank, hide in it, have it move towards her fleet, and guide your ship through it to sail into her flagship is pretty crazy.
Yeah sure it does. But isnt the whole narrative behind the ironborn is that they do exactly what Euron did? They pride themselves on being the Kings of the sea, piracy, pillaging and raiding. Yara had her lamps lighting up her ships and Euron clearly didnt. Its not inconceivable that he was able to sneak up on her given thats what his fleet does. Yara clearly let her guard down with the Sand Snakes present and got a big head.

Season 6 was my favorite season. The first couple of seasons the acting was pretty fricking awful.

Very lackluster 1st two episodes. At least in the first we got the revenge of the red wedding but after that all we have scene is house keeping to a huge build up I assume for the season finale.
Two major players are gone now and a third in High Garden may soon be out as well. So it may make the story more stream line when in the end there will be only the main line. The last few seasons with all the side stories taken place it made for a lot of useless episodes.

That's why I asked in my original post about this "what is to blame?"
I still think Euron magic playing a role makes the most sense, but I specifically asked if Yara is that stupid.

I am starting to believe that Jon will end up ruling the 7 kingdoms and the rest all end up in the grave. Even the mother of dragons seems very inept to rule or plan a war

Its pretty evident to me that she just got comfortable. She was now under the protection of Daenerys and felt like they were in control. She was insanely relaxed on the boat for someone who stole some ships and ran away from her batshit crazy uncle.

There have been some really good bits from this season. The Freys down, Nymeria makes an appearance, Danny makes it to Westeros, Sand Snakes die, Euron goes crazy berserker.
All of that has been good, but many of those scenes have been somewhat underwhelming (Emilia didn't do a good job with the landing scene for instance). Mixed in with that though has been a lot of WTF scenes where I just can't figure out why that scene was chosen or why it was so long.
The scene with the NK marching for instance must have cost quite a bit for the CGI. While it was cool to see, it was really long. Grey Worm/Missandei was terribad. Sam's "music" scene.

Jon doesn't seem much better - he got saved by Stannis and by Littlefinger in his recent major conflicts

That's something we've debated for awhile as well and I think can also be applied to the Valonquar as well as tPTWP
I know it has been discussed , but the execution of that was just awkward.

I found it in another thread. It the synopsis for every episode this season. I read it. I gave me smiles and sads.

Did anyone notice that Tyrion's letter was not worded like Dany instructed? She specifically said to ask Jon to come to Dragonstone and bend the knee. When Jon and Sansa were reading the note (and Davos was "reading"), there was nothing in there about pledging fealty. It was worded more like a love letter attempting to swoon and win Jon's trust and favor.

So was the scene with hotpod.
But it seems like walking dead with a huge build up

Tyrion knows better. I cringed when Dany said that.

Aren't the Sand Snakes' weapons poisonous? If so Euron should be struggling quite a bit right now.

I read last weeks scene by scene and I was disappointed that it was legit. I won't be reading them anymore. Has he posted every single episode?

I read them from this page. They are a little scattered and not as detailed as the other thread you posted, but they are legit.

How do y'all think Euron knew exactly where the fleet was in the middle of the night?
Could there be some double crossing going on from Dany's side?

Typically you would poison a weapon right before using it. Running around with a poisoned knife is often very stupid.
