I know I'm nitpicking here, but it was a little odd how the Bolton wall held so strong against a real-life fricking giant.
All the snickering about snarks and grumpkins in the north, and then there's a giant twisting your buddy into pieces only a few feet away from you.
This comes after Ramsey launched arrows into his own men for the first half of the battle - sorry, loyalty be damned, no fricking way I'm holding that shield.

Ned doesn't leave the Nights Watch, doesn't save the Wildlings at Hardhome, hell Ned doesn't go "cave exploring" with a Wildling girl, Jon's far more flexible.

What about Thorne, Olly, Yarwyck, and Marsh?
Mance Rayder? Janos Slynt?

Jon's body count skyrocketed last episode. He was fricking destroying people out there.

I feel like it would have been a game changer if we're talking realism-- its one thing for the Black to hold the Wall but for normal men of the north-- I mean I think if a UFO with a Swastika on it appeared in the skies over Normandy on D-Day and started disintegrating people, our troops would have freaked out a bit.

All I could think of was Edward Longshanks.

Also the Boltons were not set up for a siege. If Wun-Wun wasn't there, the wildlings would have had to create siege engines and/or a ram to get in there. Instead Wun-Wun, Jon, and a sizable force made it to the wall before the Boltons even get set up.
That doesn't happen if you have to stop and cut a tree for a ram, and make a covering to stop it being set on fire, etc etc

This. Look at the Legend of Azhor Azhai-- Jon is going to have to kill Dany-- probably because she wants to do something crazy like burn everyone. Its his theme-- he either watches or brings about the death of everyone he loves, and ends up with what everyone but he himself wants more than anything (the Throne) while hating how worthless it is to himself.
I actually like the Dany as the villain theory. It fits pretty well.

Just realized something. If Jon Snow's mother is Lyanna Stark, then Jon, Daenerys and Tyrion's mothers all died in childbirth.

well if we are going that route:
a wight, already dead
qhorin let him win
orell got into an eagles mind, not really dead
zombies at hardhome, already dead
white walker lieutenant. even though not human, ill mark it as legit
needed help to defeat the Fookin legend of Gin Alley

also, so far, 2/3 of the orchestrators of the red wedding have all died in their own home from their own sons due to violating Guest Right

I'd pray to the old gods and the new if Sansa would get naked. She's looking mighty fine in her Stark gear and side braid.

You're kidding right?
We've been over this several times in the crackpot thread.

Kinda surprised Jon and Sansa didn't hit up old Mel to work her ressurection magic on Rickon.

I'd say there's a chance, if she stays in winterfell.
Winterfell is heated by hot springs below the ground.
If she leaves winterfell during winter..0 chance. It's cold out there
