I don't know. It was off screen, never confirmed by Jamie or any Freys. Plus, he's really f&%king cool. If they hadn't mentioned him this week, I would be more inclined to believe it, but something about Walder's words made me doubt his demise.

He's 70 years old and tried to take on 300 armed lannisters by himself with a sword and had not sword fought in years.

If he wanted to escape he would of escaped with Brienne.

Not true. He didn't fight any Lannisters. Those were Tully men who just 10 minutes earlier had been under his command. Maybe he didn't want to go to Winterfell. Maybe, he wanted to stay behind and kill some Freys. It's not like the man had zero friends in the castle, HE WAS RUNNING THE GODDAMN CASTLE 10 MINUTES AGO!!!

First off, I want to say that was the best episode of TV I've ever watched. Wow. Every scene was great. I've watched it a couple times.

BUT......

I would have personally liked to have seen Cersie's plot play out a tiny bit differently. I would have preferred Margery and the people in the sept not suspect anything.

How I would have liked it:
They mutilate Loras like in the show. Then start Cersie's trial on schedule and mention that she will be tried when not there. Lancel can be killed or stay in the sept only. Didn't like his part in crawling toward the flame. Him not being taken care of was just a slap in the face to that great plan. Have them go through her accusations and crimes with the great score behind it. Get some Godfather/Baptism camera work going back and forth between Cercie, the trial/crowd, and the candles burning down toward the wildfire. As each septon says guilty you zoom in on the wildfire. And when the high septon announces that Cersie Lannister has been found guilty of murder, incest, yada yada yada and that she is sentenced to death........BOOM

Frey pie and Arya assassin
Tommen just walking out the window WOW
ToJ wrap up and baby Jon shot into grown Jon
Dany finally moving her arse

So, here is a question: What exactly were the Second Sons doing for Dany? They were listed as part of her force but I don't remember them appearing anywhere in Meereen?

You know who else I'm glad is alive? Hot Pie. So glad that Arya was able to teleport over to Westeros and get in some quick cooking lessons with 'ol Hot Pie just in time to cook for Walder.

I also enjoyed the bell from the Sept that came crashing down on top of that one guy, instantly turning him into a puddle of red mush.

Daario Naharis is the leader of the 2nd sons after he killed off the other two leaders who wanted Dany killed. It was probably just a budget thing where they didn't have to add an extra type of force in with CG.

Why did Rob have to go through the Twins to get to Riverrun? Why couldn't he take the Kings Road?

And to add to that, if the Twins are the only way to get North, how did Littlefinger get through the Twins with a whole army of horses?

It's like this:

As you can see from the map, Riverrun is on the Southwest side of the rivers that make up the Twins while the Eyrie is on the Northeast side. Therefor, the Knights of the Vale did not have to cross the bridge at the Twins to get to the North.

The same fort that kept southerners out of the north for thousands of years and now it's empty, just when a southern army comes through?

The Frogmen probably killed them all. Remember, the only source of freshwater there had been poisoned when the Ironborn held it. The Knights of the Vale probably rode past an empty Moat Cailin...or they just took bloody boats.

Because he was fighting the Lannisters who held Kings Landing. If I remember correctly, Tywin's army pretty heavily populated the Kings Road. Unlike now.

I'm not so sure people actually know she did it. Other than Marg, no one had a clue. And besides, all those people are dead. The only ones who know about that are Qyburn and his little birds

I think the smallfolk could figure this out on who was behind it. It was her trial above all else, and she wasn't there for it. Everyone Cersei needed removed is conveniently killed in mass numbers. That wildfyre isn't going to light itself.

I just find it odd the City Watch (who probably had several dozen of their own men killed by the attack) didn't immediately storm the Red Keep when they found out that Cersei was alive at least for questioning. If Rudi Giuliani were the chief suspect immediately following 9/11, I doubt NYPD would give a shite what the mayor said and take him in or kill him.

All she would have to do is explain it away as a "mishap". Just like she explained away her kid's true lineage and still remained on the throne.

And until Dany shows up, there's not really anyone for them to rally behind as the North is more concerned with what's coming from beyond the Wall. When she shows up it's likely a different story but in the meantime there's been plenty of precedent set that the small folk will look away out of fear.

The incest isn't as damning as blowing up the Sept of Baelor with everyone who opposes her inside of it. The incest was primarily instigated by Stannis who was hated by everyone and exploited witchcraft to win the throne. Not many people knew what Joffrey looked like compared to Robert, and even so it's a fairly outrageous claim for the realm to take seriously at large. Imagine if a mad Emperor blew up the Vatican with all his political opponents inside of it. I can't imagine medieval Europe not declaring war on said Emperor.

Who's to say that the explosion wasn't purposefully done by the HS & Co. a la Jonestown, Comet Hale Bop, etc.

Cersei has plenty of avenues to hide her activity.

Why would he do it without Cersei and Tommen being present? That's not the High Septon's way of going out in a mass fiery suicide as the followers of R'holler might want.

It would make sense that Cersei would do it but they don't have proof.
