pretty sure they are combining the two, dany and daario are going over strategy in the preview and I'dassume it's to enter the city through the sewers

i thought that too, but the show's wiki has an entry for meereen: LINK

of course that doesnt mean they'll actually use it, somebody couldve put it up there thinking they would

another argument for meereen not being in the show is that its not shown on the map in the show's opening

you can see the corner of the bay where it should be, but there's nothing there

also, the pyramids of the harpy are in the shots of yunkai

so basically

I DONT KNOW

Maybe Mereen will be next season. I imagine they're going to take liberties with Danys story since it slows down greatly in books 4 and 5.

Mereen was basically one chapter in storm, I really have no clue how they handle dany next year I'm sure the writers will spice up her story like they did with quarth

This seals the deal for me.

ETA: didn't they elliminate the crucified slaves along her trek to Yunkai also....... I thought that was a great point in the books. The slavers were very ruthless in the books.

she tried to give water to a crucified slave a couple episodes ago. Right before she took the Unsullied. Is that what you mean?

Seasons 1 and 2 ended with some type of shocking scene

1. Dragons on naked Dany
2. Other leading an army towards the wall

Don't tell CE that.....Anyway, I think this season ends with the Wildlings attacking the Wall and Ygritte being killed.

I think they're going to really change up how Dany takes Meereen and try not to make it so god damn boring. Also hopefully it will give them the opportunity to bring Strong Belwis in.

If you'll notice on the map at the beginning, there is no model for Meereen, but there has been one for Yunkai and Astapor since the start of the season. She definitely won't be going there.

I just can't see them holding both Purple and Red weddings until next year. i think they end this season with one or the other.

I don't think they show a location until it has been included in the show itself

Doubt it. I'd expect that scene to take a while, and I don't think we have time for it. I'm expecting next season for Janos Slynt to try to execute Jon near the start, but Aemon and Sam foil it. Jon is reluctantly let go for the time being from Slynt until he can be elected Lord Commander. Jon then kills Ygritte on accident (thinking around Episode 3). Then Slynt commands Jon to treat with and kill Mance Rayder, and everything goes from the book from there.

The wildling attack on Castle Black happens before Janos Slynt. Jon did not kill Ygritte. When he looks at the arrow, he notices that it is not his.

Yeah, but when did any of that ever stop the writers of this show. Out of all the other characters (aside from Robb of course), I feel most confident on the end of Jon's arc. It just seems natural to make that the end of the season.

I never said Red Wedding wasn't happening, its next episode. Ygritte will make it through the season and the Battle of Castle Black and the Battle of the Wall will be combined into one battle

Hope he gets unbanned. His reinstatement request seems to maybe resemble Jorah's a little too much Instead of Barristan's. Hopefully Chicken is more forgiving than Danny.
