GRRM doesn't have anything against the Starks, he has something against traditional fantasy heroes, which most of the Starks try to be. That honor above all else will get you friggin' killed, just like it can in the real world.

I remember someone once said on another board you can rename the series "If only X had just X." If only Ned had just sat on the Iron Throne during Robert's Rebellion, none of this would've happened. But he didn't. But Ned still could've just thrown in with Renly or at least appeared to and taken Joffery hostage. Instead he goes right up to Cersei and gets his arse killed.

Then Robb cuts off his bannerman's head and loses a 3rd his army, forcing him to go back to the old shitbag that is Walder Frey.

You know more is on the horizon.

And I'm pissed yall didn't get the full effect of it. In the book, Arya is apparently also killed during the Red Wedding, to where all of us threw our books across the fricking room and then proceeded to page flip to see if Arya is in the remainder of the book.

I was so positive she was a secret agent for the Lannisters. Had the Tully men already left the room when the slaughter started?

Another Robb troll:

Doesn't listen to Cat, gets fricked.

Listens to Cat, gets killed.

OMG that was brutal! I had to take some time before I came back here to post. My stomach is literally in knots right now. I have shed some tears and I will miss that beautiful man.

I read that scene 10 years ago and it still upsets me. I threw the book across my bedroom.

I've been dreading this for a long time.

No wonder Tywin spoke of Sansa as the key to the North with such confidence. He knew he was going to wipe Robb out for a while now.

I love an effectual villain. Watch him wind up dying due to something stupid or just anti-climatic at some point down the line. Like he chokes on a fishbone or something.

At least I anticipated it and stared singing along. It is a truly badass song.

Well, the good news is that Jon is still alive.
Poor Arya, what a fricked up childhood she is having.
Is Sansa worthless now?

I honestly can't decide if I'm upset or just in complete awe of the BAMF that is Tywin Lannister.

Quit talking about the books everyone. I'm reading 1 and plan to catch up and don't want you saying the differences.

I know its not spoilers, but why are you here? We have a whole thread for us man. It has been made abundantly clear they don't want your commentary (spoiler or not). Lets just watch the thread and enjoy.
