it looks like stennis is about to make some sort of crazy arse move with the lord of light.
Are we so sure this ain't part of it? He did specifically say Robb Stark.
Though he also said Joffery and Balon Greyjoy. Leaving out Dany and Mance Rader of course. The ultimate X-factors.

I think that the implication with the song, and with Bolton's statement to Robb.

The Stark name means more than any land or money.

Tywin has to be behind this.
I mean they made it a point to show that he was writing letters almost constantly...had to be for a reason.

Absolute irony coming from you.

Yea, but Bolton is really only in it for himself.

The dude knows his letters better than he knows his last action heroes that's for sure.

his story is obviously dealing with the dark arts. while tywin made a crazy tactical move, it seems stannis will explore the exact opposite. he has tried tacts and lost already.
i expect this guy to go crazy with the priestess and for some weird shite to happen.

Can someone refresh my memory on why Bolton hates the Starks all of a sudden? Or is this a middle ground thread question?

Tywin was behind all this?
I don't know that for sure. I thought Rob's wife was writing to Tywin. But it would certainly make sense to know that Tywin was writing to Lord Bolton. I'm thinking Lord Frey had this planned all along. Was that the youngest granddaughter he married off?

Staniss better hope that dick leach comes through because he's the only one left apparently opposing the fricking Lannisters. Damn it I'm still upset.

ahh, I see...
I didn't realize the song was abot him too. Obviously Cat knew it meant something. How did the non book readers know that song was about Tywin?

One of them left the room for sure. Surely they weren't in on it...killing their own kinfolk.
No I mean their lives. R they alive?

Awesome episode. Finally the action I have been yearning for. I never could stand cat or the new king of the north so I am glad to see them go. The only two remaining characters I would like to see whacked are the crippled stark boy and possibly the dragon lady. In all honesty the only truly boring storyline left is the crippled boy.

Makes you wonder, doesn't it?
I've only been in the non reader thread tonight and I have a feeling quite a few here are readers.

question book readers: if book 5 is already out, does it seem at all likely martin can wrap all this up in the 2 remaining books.
im through book 3 and i just dont ever see him drawing this thing to a conclusion.
If the bastard doesn't die first, I think it'll be fine. I suspect they will be long books though given his history.

i didnt know it was a lannister song. but you could tell it wasnt good. its a certainty it was tywin behind it all.
