Tywin could have obviously been lying to The True King His Grace Lord Joffrey to keep him from freaking the frick out,

see, that's how i took his dismissal of dany and the dragons.

Then tell the rest to GTFO as well.

We actually get some good discussion when they back away.

Perhaps... we still don't truly know how knowledgeable Tywin is.

He let Arya slips through his fingers. He dismisses Dany. King's Landing and his family would've been destroyed had Tyrion not brought out the wildfire.

After all of that, I'm assuming he knows even more than what the audience is exposed to.

But what's his motivation? I think Ned posed the question in Season 1 - why is Tywin Lannister not the ruler of the 7 Kingdoms? He's got the gold and apparent knowledge. Maybe he knows the throne is treacherous and can manipulate the world around him as Joffrey's puppet master more effectively.

I've been trying to take the approach of, if you ignore them they get bored with it. And outside of OMLanshark their post have been harmless as far as I can tell.

Idk how he could've known it was her. Now LF on the other hand, he may have known it was her.

Yeah IDK either, but if he's badass and smart as we all think he could be, he might have known (or had a feeling).

I remember him asking some fairly specific questions regarding her family, almost like he was waiting for her to crack under the pressure.

Dude is a boss, can't wait to find out more about his endgame.

Yup. He's basically running the kingdom right now. Leading the war, arranging marriages to strengthen family alliances, handling all the council meetings in his chambers, etc. All of this and doesn't have the target on his back while being the actual king

Yep. Remember after the Battle of Blackwater when Joffrey is giving out the rewards and everyone is assembled in their best dress, Tywin rides into the Red Keep on a horse. Obviously has no respect for the throne or the person in it. As Jaime said to Brienne, his father has no loyalties, he picks winners.

Ok, tin foil hat time...what if Robb's wife was writing a letter to Tywin? Maybe she sends them to her mom and mom forwards them to tywin? What if she is a spy?

May have already been mentioned but I'm not reading further, but I think Tywin is playing the dragons down because he wants Joff to keep doing his bullshite and not worry about it because.....he wants to kill Joff and be king, but Tyrion wants his father dead....and since Jamie can have no wife, no children, no titles then guess who gets to be king....

The shitty thing about spitballing story lines is that maybe you're right and then book readers call you out on it and all that's shite.

For the record I'm like 150 pages into storm of swords. I like watching the series then reading the books. Am I welcome here?

Well it happened. I've been spoiled, but not on this site. I happened upon a conversation between two book readers, and when I asked what they were talking about, they spoiled a huge chunk for me thinking I had read the books. I understand their thought, because I read a ton.

Can I still post in this thread? It's only one character, but I feel like it was major spoilers from the looks on their faces when I said I didn't read.

If you have read past book one, we prefer you not post here. I would suggest the middle ground or book reading bastard thread.

I did learn last night on the cc rewatch that when Robb asked if she was writing in Valyrian, she said Gaa. So that kinda throws me off. I don't recall anybody else mentioning Gaa on the show.
