OK maesters..book question

At the end of tyrion vi in a clash of kings, he is speaking to cersei about the peace terms brought by ser cleos Frey from Robb stark.

He says "what else is a hand good for, if not to hand you things".

The final line of the chapter is "and certain knowledge of an informer too...that was the plum in his pudding"

I can't figure out what informer is he talking about?

Each book tells you a little, but it usually contradicts the previous story you have been told. But like BB said there is a widely accepted theory on his mother.

Nope, but I suspect that he's in the Lands of Always Winter, which is where the White Walkers hail from. There's something just off about the Children and Bloodraven being surrounded by skulls and wights.

I took a screen shot from an Interactive map that was made awhile back that guesstimates where characters are based on the scope of what you've read. Based on where we are now in his storyline this is what the map shows. You can see the Wall at the bottom.

Here's the link to the interactive map, but I wouldn't suggest it for those who haven't read through the books. There's at least one character mention in the list of characters that you can choose that hasn't shown up yet.

We have a really good idea who she is, and you should be able to take an educated guess for as far in the books as you've gotten. Hodors wouldn't stand a chance of guessing it since they've been given basically no information behind it.

the show really has shown little info and cut out lots of the scenses

Even when a character in the Brotherhood without Banners tells Arya he was Jon Snow's milk brother and knows Jon mom's name was cut from the show. Thought that was odd.

I'm reading the first book and I've read the Hodor safe wiki on the events that led up to Robert's Rebellion. That's how I've come to my theory on who is Jon Snow's mother.
