If you have small, mobile scorpions you can have a thousand of them at the head of any large host which would make any dragon relatively useless against them. You’d invert the dynamics of warfare in this world.

My point is maybe they work on a small dragon like Vermax but would bounce off Caraxes

It’s a valid point but these weapons don’t exist for a reason and this episode is why Martin threw a fit. He’s protective of his Dragons and specifically the lore around them where he’s more flexible with story. Let’s just take a mechanical look at it. It took 3 giant scorpions to take down Rhaegal, a 70ft Dragon and one through the neck is what brought it down. Vermax is only 10ft smaller and was taken down by a very small weapon by comparison in one shot to the body. Like I said it’s likely a 1 off, it’s just an error. Thats why I’m not mad but I’m going to answer lies and baseless insults.

Where did GRRM “throw a fit” over smaller scorpions being used to take down Vermax? Please provide the link since you keep referencing this as fact.
