I agree. Just like in the main series when Qyburn acted like he invented something cool. No he didn’t, it was old tech. It’s inconsistent.
Hell, even in the step stones, big arse scorpions make sense with or without the threat of dragons. Like when Euron used them against the boats.
But that said, in this series they probably learned their lesson in the Step Stones and added them to their ships. Maybe some runaway disgruntled maester learned them up in between. It’s been like 15 plus years.

Projection, I know you don’t know that either but you’re still doing it. Btw Lohar is a he in S2 but a she in S3 so I guess your argument that “canon is impossible to break” doesn’t wash, like everything else you said it’s false.

I literally told people what point in the episode to go to that disproved your rant about “it just tore his belly open and it shouldn’t have”.
Multiple people here have now posted pictures and pointed to other instances in the lore where dragons aren’t only executed by massive scorpions like there were in GoT.
Only one not providing “proof” of your claims is you.

That’s possible but the step stones went on for 3 years so they probably would’ve had em at some point. It still a dangerous implication for warfare and strategy to have these things be portable and i don’t think we’ll see these again. In my first post about it I said it played well to add to the drama for the battle I just thought having one mounted on a ship gets you around any problem this causes. They did it to make Lohar more of a threat and again for the short term it played well.

What? Lohar is the equivalent of a tomboy throughout the show. I think you’re confusing the actor being trans with the character. The character has always been a “she”.

Wrong again, in S2 ep8 when we meet Lohar his crew and armada captains reference him as a he multiple times. Last night the Sea Snake calls her a she.

That doesn’t mean she wasn’t a she. It was purposeful misdirection by her crew when Lannister came to meet “The Admiral”.
