"A Storm of Swords
Loras joins the Kingsguard at his father's behest (though Littlefinger orchestrates this [7]), to protect his sister Margaery when she becomes the Queen. The appointment also allows Loras to avoid marriage, a prospect complicated by his ambiguous sexuality, and his continued mourning for Renly. He quickly becomes very popular with the citizens of King's Landing. Out of curiosity Tyrion asks him why he chose to join the Kingsguard at only seventeen, Ser Loras answers,

He did not in the show, and they said he was the heir to Highgarden in this show. I wonder if they will have him take the white to avoid marrying Cersei, and then bring up Willas as the new heir next season along with the Viper.
That's what I'm thinking too.

I'm thinking Cersei will sidestep Tywin and get Joffrey to appoint Loras to the Kingsguard so she doesn't have to marry him.

Robb is an indeed and idiot and is a big reason the red wedding did not make me that angry. Idiot of epic proportions

Loras will probably by appointed kingsguard when Margery is Queen after the wedding at the request of Tommen
Posted on 4/28/13 at 9:13 pm to tigerfan in bamaland
It doesn't matter what happened in the book tigerfan, he hasn't joined the kingsguard in the show, which is what CE is saying.

But their families are friends. To me it seemed like they were hinting it would happen. Plus, Robb has pretty much hit rock bottom, I don't see how things could get any worse for him

Ohh, good possibility, play the poor mother being forced to marry some gay boy card with Joff.

Jaime telling Brienne his backstory with killing the Mad King has been my favorite scene of the show yet. Impeccably done, and the actor who plays Jaime should get an emmy nomination for his performance. Couldn't have asked for that scene to be done any better.
I think they did Shireen really well, Ygritte was hot as shite and not a disappointment, The Hound vs Lord Beric was awesome as well.
Also Brienne has a much more attractive and arousing body than I would think from the novels.
Probably another Top 3 episode for me.

ok, the timing was off so it was a bit confusing.
I think you're right, he'll take the white to keep from marrying that bitch.

quote:agree and it was amazing from start to finish. Knew its be a good one with Cogman writing it but that Jaime brienne scene was amazing. So was the karstark execution even down to Robb telling his men to have the lookout hanged last
I think this episode followed the book more closely than just about any other episode so far. Fantastic!
