Feel like this thread should be made to avoid any spoilers in the other one

Trying to be vague in the other ones wasn’t doing it for me but first off despite the problems with the movie such as Godzilla getting super charged for not much of a reason or Mothra existing for me five minutes of screen time it was worth it for the big dumb fights.

Kong using mini Kong as a club to beat the shite out of the other apes and Godzilla suplexing Kong was so dumb but the best thing I’ve seen this year

We’re one more Wingard movie away from Godzilla tail sliding into another monster and fist pumping Kong

Sometimes you just want dumbass monster fight fun and these films deliver. Kinda like the first Bayformers. I want ridiculous, over the top stupidity where Kong and Zilla are on screen for 85% after the disappointment of Monarch.

As I saw somewhere else... the next Wingard movie should be Godzilla Minus People

The writing budget was so low on this they gave us a native tribe that literally didn’t speak

Before any YouTubers tell me what to think, I’m going to say I liked it. Of course, there were some super cringe moments and they really did over try in several areas, but there were actual solid moments throughout the movie.

Understanding that this is a Legendary Monsterverse movie, and a bit on the Transformers side, it isn’t meant to be high cinema.

It was nice to see Doug again.

About the biggest issue I have is the loss of making these titans majestic. When everything is gigantic, then nothing is gigantic, and it loses the whole aura of just how significant these creatures are. If I could change one thing, that would be the first place I’d start.

Yes. Most of the movie is in hollow earth, a place that’s dumb in concept, looks fake, and has no sense of scale bc everything is big like you say. So instead of watching giant king kongs fight, it’s just watching cartoon-looking gorillas fight.

I did like how we got introduced to 'baby' Kong. That was a tad unexpected.

Baby Kong reminded me of Golem. Did not like him.

Same thoughts. I doubt it's coincidence. Suko or whatever
seemed modeled after Gollum. The facial expressions were at times uncanny. But hey, it's been 20+ years so why not rip off from a legend?

I like it for what it is but these movies have changed so much since the first monster verse Godzilla movie.

I noticed that as well. In fact, I wondered if it was Serkis doing the mocap. I mean, I know it wasn't. But it was uncanny.

Also... I was not expecting Mothra to show up.

Enjoyed it thoroughly for what it was... a big ole Monster Movie. Well, for the most part.

And hey... Kong now has a pet.

Same studio is doing both franchises, so I’m wondering if they have the access to the digital data. Use Gollum as a foundation and then just do some CG touchup? Maybe.

She doesn't die. There's always a Mothra in a an egg waiting to... well... become Mothra when Mothra gets killed.

There’s always an egg or two, waiting to be hatched regarding Mothra. In King of the monsters, we saw a Titanus Mosura hatch from the egg, but we never saw who laid the egg. Maybe it was this one?

Just came back from it, it was pretty good. Worth watching for sure. Supposedly Godzilla Minus 1 is the gold star but while that is a godzilla film, it is not the godzilla film I am looking for. For me, Godzilla is a good guy and engaging in epic monster fight, Godzilla minus 1, hes a villian and its versus...humans. Cool for those who enjoy it.

Godzilla x Kong gives you all the monsters fight you can handle. They made Godzilla the scary boogey man that no monster, even Kong, wanted to frick with.

My takeaway like is as follow:

1. The Fights, oh the fights!
2. I was wrong about pink godzilla, it worked when you actually watched the movie.
3.The humans surprisingly wasn't that annoying this time around. There was more Kaiju fight than human meandering plot and it worked.

My takeaway dislike:

1. They keep on making godzilla head smaller and smaller each movie. He had a huge head in Godzilla 2014! He's suppose to be more like a T-Rex than a stegosaurus!

2. Mothra. Glad shes back but in King of the Monsters, they made her feel majestic and you feel awe just looking at her. This one...I can't say what's off but she's less so.

3. Not enough Godzilla screen time. I mean my boi just straight up went to Italy and said the Roman Colosseum was his now. Perhaps Manilla would be in the next movie and that would curb godzilla destructive tendency.

Overall, I enjoyed it quite a bit. The Villian which I thought was dumb worked. There some darker elements to Skar too if you pay attention. For one the little ape Zuko was Skar son. Two, Skar has a harem of women he enslaved that all beared him children base on the color of their fur coating.

I also wanna know what frgging monster is big enough for its spine to be a bridge that make Kong and Godzilla look small. Maybe next movie?

Some people have problem with the Hollow Earth thing, I'm find with it, its no different from Monster Island from the old shows.
