I actually liked the 1998 remake. I know I am in the VAST minority on that, but it was fine for me...typical popcorn movie with cool shite happening. The plot was a little ridiculous, but whatever...that didn't bother me like it did with most.
Also, this time it looks like they went with a much more "calssic" Gojira look.

I love monster movies, and will be seeing this in theaters no matter who else is with me.
That being said, I'm going to do my best to have this be the first and last trailer of the movie that I watch. That's all i need to see to be intrigued.

Don't know if I dig the jacking of the "2001: A Space Odyssey" score for the intro. Actually takes away from the HALO jump impact imo.

Looks good.
Should be a solid movie as long as they focus on Godzilla instead of some lame romantic subplot or father/son searching for one another in the midst of a Godzilla attack while putting themselves and everyone else in danger.
