Will post some reactions here to the footage shown… by all accounts it to be a true blockbuster epic. My most anticipated movie of 2024.
Directed by Ridley Scott, written by David Scarpa, and stars Paul Mescal, Denzel Washington, Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, Fred Hechinger, May Calamawy, Connie Nielsen, and Derek Jacobi, the last two reprising their roles.

I haven’t been excited for a Ridley Scott film in a while but Gladiator 2 looks absolutely bad arse. This looks epic in every sense of the word. Paul Mescal, Pedro Pascal, and Denzel Washington take center stage in the footage that was shown. Looks like a major awards player.

I wont be watching. The first one was perfect and the 3 main characters are not returning. No Proximo, no Commodus and no Maximus Decimus Meridius.

sounds like it could be good
one thing is for sure, they cant do a reboot of G1 since it ended with him being dead
so with some decent scripting, it should be a decent movie

This thing is kind of terrible plot wise. Lots of holes. I can't believe this thing won an Academy Award

there is a lot going on, all the time there is a lot going on, so you see things you missed with the first watch that you see when you rewatch it
i think when it came out it was very little in the way of any action movies to compete with it
