While both were injured.

It was more than just one person that took him down, my #2 person was killed by a pig. Mag can shoot an arrow over 700 feet into the air, his strength is off the charts.

Wtf ever , Jaime had his hands tied do yea she had the advantage there for sure. The Hound had a cut , and there was nothing said or shown that would make me say he was hampered in fighting by it. Are you guys discrediting her bc she's a girl?

here are my rankings, but with a condition:
Rankings based on CURRENT aptitude, as of this point in the books/show. Must be ALIVE and not mortally wounded to be considered.
Past accomplishments, weapons owned, current fighting ability, scenes shown in the show, and propensity/ability to wreck shite in the future is considered:
1. Brienne of Tarth
-Won Renlys tournament at Bitterbridge
-held off a fricking bear in a pit at Harrenhal with a wooden sword
-Often sent on ridiculous missions, always makes it to her destination.
-owns Valyrian Steel and plate armor
-killed the Hound
-defeated a weakened Jamie Lannister
2. Ser Barristan Selmy
-many accomplishments. Only thing he has done in the show really is stab the Warlock's scorpion. Still not one to frick with
-Would be #1 if not for age and lack of fighting shown on the show
3. John Snow
-has Ghost, Valyrian Steel
-killed a wight to save the Old Bear
-Killed the canibal Thenn
-killed Qhorin Halfhand
-wanders into the Haunted Forest alone, aint scared
-Possibly has kingsblood
-Lord Commander of Nights Watch
4. Bronn the sellsword
-Defended Tyrion and Catelyn from the Mountain Clans on the road to the eyrie
-Won trial by combat in the Eyrie
-Clearly better in swordfighting than the CURRENT version of Jamie Lannister
-Fought in Battle of Blackwater
5. Jamie Lannister
-Trained to fight with 1 hand by Bronn
-Numerous past Accomplishments
-has any weapon or armor he wishes at his disposal
-has his mojo back now that hes fricking Cersei on the reg again
6. Arya Stark
-Has learned from Tywin Lannister at harrenhal, Syro Forel in KL, the Hound in the wild, on the way to become a Faceless man in Braavos.
-Melisandre prophesized she would "close a lot of eyes" and there is "a darkness in her"
7. Ser Loras, Knight of Flowers
-Numerous accomplishments
-Best Knight in the Reach
-Usually the first to volunteer for the most deadly battles, such as wanting to go execute the Mountain for Ned Stark
8. Daario Naharis
-cold blooded assassin
-killed his two other captains, brought heads to Dany
-Sacked Yunkai with Jorah and Grey Worm
-Defeated the champion of Meereen
9. Bran warged into Hodor or Summer
-killed Locke
-survived trip North of the Wall, fought undead skelezombies
-massive size and strength, zero fricks given
-speed and stealth and teeth when warged into Summer
-allied with the Children of the Forest and Meera reed
10. Tormund Giantsbane
-survived battle of Castle Black, wrecked shite, killed many
-Most dangerous wildling still alive, even though he is currently captured

SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS
I will include characters that were alive during any part of season 4. If they died in an earlier season, they're not eligible for my list. If they have no wins or kills, they aren't mentioned. If they suck donkey balls but qualify otherwise, they're not on my list. Exceptions made for men of high reputation in the field of combat (i.e. barristan selmy)
1. Oberyn - had the mountain dead to rights. In terms of pure combat, he beat him. His arrogance and stupidity allowed the mountain to get the drop on him.
2. Gregor Clegane - enough said, the only guy who has beat him, didn't even beat him. He is an unstoppable machine that no one in westeros or the rest of Martin's universe (humans, I'm sure on of the others would make quick work of him) can beat.
3. Brienne - we're talking about the show right? Well she's beaten Kingslayer, the dog and ser loras. That's a pretty beastly resume.
4. Sandor Clegane - dude is just fricking brutal.
The rest is really a crap shoot, none of them are elite and we haven't seen enough
5. Daario - we've yet to see him do much, but he is by reputation a bad motherfricker
6. Barristan Selmy - again, haven't seen much. He's also old as dirt. Reputation ranking
7. Jon Snow - he was had at crasters and got lucky. Given that we've seen more from him and he is pretty bad arse, he drops from getting bested by some WT from fleabottom and allowing Ygritte to get the drop on him (again, TV show not books)
8. Ser Jorah Mormont - talks a big game, and in the one instance we've seen him fight he backed it up. Not much reputation as a fighter, but I'd have him higher if he'd done more than bitch and moan for 3 books and 3 seasons.
9. Bronn - never really faced anyone of note, but always comes out on top, and is quite capable.
10. Ser Loras - we've seen him beaten by a chick, suck a dick and his only accomplishment of note is craftily dismounting gregor clegane
11. Arya - tiny little girl/psychopath. Considering her gender, age and size; She's worth mentioning.

I know I was just arguing for Brienne and you have her #1, but your list is very odd.
You have Arya Stark in the top 10? Literally every knight or sell sword would beat her in a straight up fight

I know we did it last year and it was based on everyone in the books= Dayne & Robert met in the finale (they tied)

i'd be forever in your debt. i do like my idea though of if a matchup is Oberyn vs Mountain every upvote is a vote for Oberyn and downvote is a vote for Mountain. makes it hella easy.

He led the charge against Stannis' forces in the Battle of Blackwater Bay, first into the Red Keep. That's a major accomplishment.

i am hoping she becomes some sort of psychotic vicious combination of Syrio, Tywin, the Hound, Jaqen.
Obviously she is more potential than past accomplishments, but, its fun to speculate.
