After last season's Maggie the Frog flashback, I believe you're right. The first scene will be the Tower of Joy, then credits, then that zoom in shot of dead Jon in the trailer.

I think we've all been ready for the Tower of Joy since S1. But I do understand why they waited until S6 to show it.

Was there a big part in the books about the Tower of Joy? I'm halfway through the 4th book, and I don't really remember reading much about it. I have been blowing through them pretty fast since Christmas trying to finish before the show starts

First book, Ned had a fever dream about it. That's the most we get, there's also some very minor hinting toward it later (by Selmy I think) but that's the meat of it.

Pretty sure it's when he's in the black cells. I didn't think much of it the first time but after knowing the gravity of it, when you go back and reread it, it's pretty intense.
