GRRM told them how it ends. They’re just filling in the gaps.
People who think every hero needs to die because that’s GOT are ignoring that the hero’s we have now aren’t blinded by thinking everyone else is noble.
Sansa isn’t eating dinner with the Frey’s
Jon isn’t giving Cersei a chance to flee with her kids like Nedd
The point is supposed to be that these people learned adapted and survived.

Not a single ounce of me believes this is true. I don't think GRRM had a fricking clue what was happening after the end of his last book. And he sure as frick didn't have an outline in his head that he handed to HBO. That's really not how many fiction writers write. They tell a story and it evolves as they put it down. They don't have an ending in mind and then try and get to it somehow and even if they do they often arrive at a different one as they write.

So basically Show Westeros would've been fine if not for Jon going around beyond the wall and then coming back and warning them that winter is coming. Book Westeros still has the Horn

The entirety of the Night's Watch was worthless. They just had to tip a spear and throw it at the guy when he showed up. End of problem. Could've been one guy in a guard Shack.

If you don’t think GRRM has any idea who kills the NK or ends up on the Iron Throne that’s crazy
GRRM definitely isn’t a “I have It all mapped out” kinda writer but I think he knows big things like that.

I can walk into a store and get a king cake. The NK could not enter the cave until marking Bran.
A more apt example would be sitting outside of a closed king cake store waiting for a king cake
