And... I hate to break it to everyone... but even having a 12 year old book Arya have sex with Genry is not out of GRRM's realm of possibility. Dude is creative, borderline genius, somewhat pedophiliac hornball.
Wouldn’t show Arya be 16 ish now?

I have no idea why they're hiding people in the crypts filled with the dead when they're fighting someone who raises the dead. The beers around the fire and knighting was the worst thing in the show. The writing in this episode was worse than fanfiction. Next episode should be fun but this episode I'd rank as the worst in the series by a pretty wide margin. The tormund scenes are just getting brutally bad. At least we got to see ghost though.

Jamie has a throw away line about doing things for his family and Bran says “the things we do for love” which is what Jamie said right before he pushed Bran out the window.
Considering the window scene literally was just shown 5 mins before that scene on Previously On GOT I'm pretty sure every one caught it.

Lol. They copied the lord of the rings with the singing at the end. (Battle before Helms deep fades into music as children are given weapons, armor, etc.)
A little bit of feminism showing through now, mainly with all the little girls claiming they're fighters. I'm not sure how many little girls are watching to be inspired. The Brienne shite makes sense, shes earned her spot.
It kind of sucks how obvious it is in the writing that the show is ending. It's like even the actors are acting like they know its ending. The dialogue is written like we're all kind of in on the story ending as well.
Dany is definitely going mad Queen imo if given the chance. Who knows, she just might straight up die by the hand of the NK.
It's hard to tell what actually will happen with the battle and who will die.
Also, why didnt Theon say anything about the Iron Islands being an advantageous point of retreat? Seemed like it was a pretty big deal. Maybe it was said off screen.
I still enjoy this show a lot, but there's no way this level of writing would have worked from season 1. They're just running through their credits now. It'll still be good probably.

There are multiple spots that would work great. Off the top off my head you got the eyrie or welder freys castle at the crossing

Arya wants to be a fighter in season 1 and Brianne is introduced in season 2. If anything the little girl was a call back to Young Arya. She also had shades of Shireen with her face scars and they made that clear with Davos staring at her.
I don't get the sudden feminism grief. Half the show from the beginning is about a rightful female heir and women pulling strings behind the scenes.

I think they were just trying to remind us we like all these people before the body count starts racking up. I personally didn’t think it was necessary. I didn’t need to see Brie knighted to know she is awesome.
I like the episode overall but mostly because we find out the Night kings motivation and the humans plan of attack we see Dany start to crack up, Sansa positioning herself as a long term leader and Jamie advancing his arc to complete his betrayal of Cersei.

The possibilities for how next week will turn out are endless.
Goddamnit I don't wanna wait.

I'm convinced now that GOT it's going to get the Star Wars treatment. Too big for it's own good. People are going to tear it apart no matter what.
I said this before the new SW trilogy and I bet the same happens here. The internet has given everyone their own critc voice and there's no way, no matter what happens, that the conclusion is going to please everyone. It's impossible, bc everyone thinks they know how it could be better.
This threads proof it's going to happen here. Look how divided this thread is.

I hate that any criticism of the female characters is seen as “feminism grief”.
Aside from the sand snakes I don’t think any criticisms were that unwarranted. And even the sand snakes weren’t that bad. Glad they are dead though

It's sudden feminism grief because it's been the same for 8 years and written from source material 20 years ago but somehow people keep acting like its brand new

The only problem I have with a female character is arya being able to fight on par with brienne. She's an assassin. She shouldn't be anywhere near Brienne's skill level in a regular fight.

I think at least Brienne takes out one of the Walker generals. She’s got a Valyrian steel sword
