Heard about it on FB and didn't come to this forum or Fb the rest of the week. But when I saw that dragon end up in the pond, I knew.
A buddy had kind of planted the seed by hinting at it and then in literally every GOTs thread someone was either "predicting it" or flat out posting the spoilers so I knew it was coming. It really took the air out of the scene.

The one White Walker back at Hardhomme I'm pretty sure walked through fire. It'll kill a wight but not a White Walker.

Yeah they basically don't GAF about fire, pretty much impervious to it.

Dumber decision- Jon not getting on the dragon or Oberyn not finishing off the mountain when he had the chance
Well, Jon's head is still in one piece

It would have been interesting to at least see them try. The WW looked like they couldn't have given less of a shite about the dragons.
Is it because they are semi mindless, or they knew the NK had their back and they had nothing to be worried about

If they can't beat them right there with three dragons...
So now the NK and his goons have those dragon-killing spears and a dragon of their own.
WTF

So is this the thread where we call out all the people posting their "theories" in last weeks episode thread that were literally word for word of the script this week? Seriously, frick all those people. They should all be banned.
I wish we had an admin dedicated to this board

I'm going with Oberyn. I'm starting to agree with the theory that Jon wants to die.

Yup. I bet GRRM was disappointed.
It's amusing how badly people want his overall plan to be different than what we are getting.
Said it before, if basic plot of the show (minus the cut story-lines) ends up being wildly different it's only b/c he's a milquetoast baby who gets scared of keyboard warriors.
shite, it's not like he hasn't had enough time to finish the books. Dude needs to just let somebody help him finish the damn things.

Jesus fricking Christ. He's practically a god. Would you be whining in a movie about mythology if Poseidon threw a trident a mile?
OK, then I'm going to use this logic when Jon duels the Night's King next season. If Jon's body doesn't immediately shatter when their swords clash, then it's kind of ridiculous. If they bring this into the equation and Jon duels the Night's King Braavosi style, then I'll let it pass. I never suspected the Night's King to have near that amount of strength before this episode.

They would have long attacked before that. It's like minus 20 outside. That lake would probably be safe to walk on after 12 hours, nevertheless 72 hours.
Right, I'm being generous with that timeline. For all I know they could have kept smashing the ice with Gendry's hammer to keep the walkers away.

Let's be honest though, they were all there, the NK was there, anybody could've called one of the dragons biting the dust.
