A few thoughts...

I believe the opening scene with the church builders were D&D's favorite sequence. It felt so out of place - like it was a happy scene taken straight out of the Shire (with the music and all) - and then to see this towering, lumbering man carrying a big arse log by himself....... My boner is hype!!!

Queen of Thorns tore Cersei apart with words and the look on that Bitche's face at the end of their conversation is priceless. Oh and Marg playing the long game confirmed.

I'm really not concerned about Sansa turning on Jon. I think she is playing her ace in the hole with LF and I think she absolutely knows him well enough to watch out for her and Jon's well being with him around. She is smart enough now to manipulate him as he loves her like he loved Cat. And now after their encounter in Molestown, he is desperate to win her back.

Don't know what to think about Arya except that she will survive and that she will get on the boat.

Great episode. My only complaint is that it was another short one.

1. Jamie's character sucks. No redemption arc. Just a lackey for his sister/lover.

Yea, I definitely prefer his story in the books.

2. The teleportation thing really, really bothers me. Jon and Sansa are defying the laws of physics.

This didn't really bother me as much as some of the previous teleporting, since the Mormonts and Glovers are right next to each other.

3. The Hound is back. No septon. No gravedigger. No religious conversion.

I'm just glad the Hound is back, and no amount of chicken will save those counts from getting fricked up.

4. The Brotherhood randomly shows up a kills a bunch of defenceless people?

They were always a-holes, I mean they sold off Gendry which directly led to his spending the last few years stuck on a rowboat. Also, wasn't there something in the books about a group of bandits led by a guy with a yellow cloak? Or maybe that was just Freys whining about the LSH posse, I forget.

I think the Arya deal is a setup. No way a trained assassin is just strolling around a major city. No way she would have casually let a stranger approach her in the street knowing she was targeted for assassination.

Yep, she was acting way too carefree after having just failed her mission and walking out on the Faceless Men.

The Jamie and Blackfish scene was good. The Bear Island scene was awesome. The Cercie and Queen of Thorns scene was great.

Agreed, these are the types of scenes (along with the LF/Varys scenes of S1) that got me into the show (and then the books) to begin with.

Littlefinger is in over his head-- he's perhaps the best player according to what had been the rules for hundreds of years, but those aren't the rules anymore and the man he's planning on stabbing in the back this time doesn't stay dead.

I've watched every season multiple times, season 4 was great, last season sucked and this season has been ok if you consider every episode to be a filler episode. I'm waiting for some sort of action and it never comes. I'm a huge GOT fan and this season could end very strong but i'm tired of not seeing shite every week.

You saw the resolution of the biggest cliff hanger from the books, you had the ToJ fight and one of the two most likely end players is freed from the one thing holding him back from claiming the throne. That's not a bad run.

And I have a feeling he may persuade Sansa to go against Jon once the Battle of the Bastards is over. You can already see her starting to question Jon in her mind. She may end up switching back to Jon at some point in the future (and may even kill LF), but I think she will definitely allow LF to convince her to plot against Jon in the next season.

Oh man if Jon has to kill Sansa to save Westeros that'll be harsh as hell. Honestly at this point I kind of have to assume no one outside the Black has heard of or buys Jon coming back from the dead otherwise you think people might have a bit more faith in him.

Well, either Jon is a deserter or resurrected right? I assume most people know that Ned Stark's bastard was Lord Commander of the Night's Watch by now.

Not that I think it has much of a chance of happening, but seems to me that a possible compromise would be for Jamie to let the Blackfish and the Tully army go North to battle the Boltons for Jon and Sana and them agreeing to do so. The Crown has no love lost for the Boltons at this point.

Of course I can't really see the Blackfish abandoning his home Castle or trusting Jamie enough to leave the Castle with Lannisters all around.

This would make no sense from the crown's perspective. Why in the world would the crown allow the Tully army and Stark army to join up and defeat the Boltons when the Tullys and Starks are in open rebellion against the King and the Boltons are the King's Warden of the North?

Now, maybe Brienne comes and tells Jaime where Sansa Stark is and Jaime then relays this info to blackfish. He may then "take the black" to serve in Jon's army.

Littlefinger has an army of 20,000 men and has every reason to want Jon dead. How is she supposed to watch out for Jon's well being with him even in the vicinity of Jon? He will try to have Jon killed the first chance he gets.

The waif hates Arya because Arya is highborn. Jaqen is testing the Waif to see if she is truly no one.

I was half-kidding earlier when I asked if the "Arya" from tonight's episode was Jaqen. I saw a new theory this morning that I hope isn't correct... but might be.

WHAT IF ARYA AND WAIF ARE THE SAME PERSON (Fight-club style)?!

My only complaint for this episode is Yara. She was straight in the books and her being a lesbian in the show irks me. "Yeah she's a tough bitch so let's make her a lesbian."

Next weeks episode is going to be big:

1. Arya will kill the waif
2. The Mountain will be killing sparrows
3. The Hound will be getting revenge

I guess I'm ignorant, why does LF want Jon dead so badly?

I'm okay with it. Doesn't add much, but it doesn't take much away, either.

Is she the only one so far?

Probably just sees Jon as another obstacle that might keep him from running the north. That, and someone else keeping Sansa away from him.

I never liked Sansa early on. She wasn't evil, but between lying for the Lannisters and constantly blabbing about how she loved Joffrey and wanted to have his lion babies, she wasn't exactly my favorite. If I'm being honest, I've come around on her more out of pity than anything else. That said, if she betrays Jon for Littlefinger, I'm not sure I'll be able to forgive her (barring some huge redemptive act later on).

I'm also not sure how Arya will get out of her current predicament. I don't believe that is someone else disguised as Arya, and I am with Carson and some others who think it would be cheesy to have the actress save her. Maybe I'm wrong, but if she wasn't stabbed in vital organs, it's seems believable that she would survive. But she probably should be ready for a race across town and a fight to the death, either.
