The Hound even says they are the Brotherhood. Their leader also quotes a R'hollor saying.
might be a rogue squad of brotherhood and not the real brotherhood gang

and maybe a LSH sighting?
i thought about this, but probably asking a bit too much for this season
if they introduced LSH now, it would lead to a HODOR revolt about who isn't dead

Jamie's character has been completely neutered.Cerci is not going to make it out this season Imo Margery has a plan to upend the HS. Littlefinger will watch seige on Winterfell and beat whatever army is left over. He will claim he received the message late.

My thoughts as well. Especially the way that at first all they tried to do was extort them. Possibly people pretending to be bwob.

i came here to ask about that
does it make any sense for the BwoB to kill a group of innocent people?
show-wise, it makes no sense, but i don't know about the books
wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't the real brotherhood that killed them
I could see the hound going for revenge, kills the group of fake brotherhood, and runs into the real brotherhood trying to do the same thing. then maybe he runs into LSH at the same time

basically repeating myself here

if it is a rogue brotherhood group, maybe they went rogue when LSH took over
I want LSH dammit

Anyone else a little concerned that Sansa and Jon are always together now?
It's like the President and VP. They're kept separate a lot for a reason.

shouldn't be surprised with dumb hodor's who refuse to read

to be fair I listened to the books and didn't know the difference after finishing
didn't realize the difference until some book snob laughed at my ignorance in the crackpot thread. fricking book snobs

Just finished. It was just an ok episode in my opinion.
My thoughts, Sansa is going to end up royally (pun maybe intended) fricking over Jon. Even if in her mind she was writing the letter just trying to help Jon get more people, it's LF we're talking about here. He's probably the least trustworthy person on the show. Or what if she's writing to Riverrun? That could also backfire on her because the Lannisters and Freys are there.
The dialogue with Jaime and Blackfish was great. Blackfish owned his arse and told him how it was gonna be. I wonder if they'll keep with the books on that storyline.
Nothing huge with the Hound other than he's back. We all knew he'd come back though.
Olenna owning Cersei was just pure great tv. I can't wait to seen Robert Strong just slice through the FM like butter. Which in itself is going to get Cersei arrested...again. Stupid c unt.
I thought the Greyjoy scene was ok, kind of a filler scene where nothing really happens. Except for titties, that was cool.
The Arya scene kinda got underneath my skin. Why in the frick is she walking around by herself in a busy arse port? She always does the worst possible thing you can do in every situation it seems. That's probably why her story is annoying to me.
Anyway, it was an OK episode from my standpoint. Ready for next Sunday to get here.

I'm beginning to get the feeling that Sansa is going to stab Jon in the back

Yeah, any book reader that didn't like that episode I would question
I read the series twice and I wasn't happy with this episode.
1. Jamie's character sucks. No redemption arc. Just a lackey for his sister/lover.
2. The teleportation thing really, really bothers me. Jon and Sansa are defying the laws of physics.
3. The Hound is back. No septon. No gravedigger. No religious conversion.
4. The Brotherhood randomly shows up a kills a bunch of defenceless people?
I think the Arya deal is a setup. No way a trained assassin is just strolling around a major city. No way she would have casually let a stranger approach her in the street knowing she was targeted for assassination.
The Jamie and Blackfish scene was good. The Bear Island scene was awesome. The Cercie and Queen of Thorns scene was great.
For all of Sansa's time "learning the game" from Littlefinger, she totally fricks it up by not trusting her family. Isn't she one of the main reasons we are where we are? She's still letting him manipulate her into bad decisions.

Well you gotta think about who we're talking about here...a Stark. Starks are for the most part very naive. But what's gonna frick her over is her incredible indecisiveness and going back and forth. She's also playing with LF so maybe she has learned and didn't write him at all? Maybe she wrote to Blackfish not knowing the Lannister and Frey armies were right at their gates.

quote:Didn't bother me at all; I think they're moving at a normal pace, but we're seeing a bit into the future with them. The books were the same; not everything we see happens in chronological order or simultaneously.

quote:I do think that could have been better. Glad he's back, and I understand why, but it felt a little rushed. Could have been better, but it's just more hype. I'll take it.

quote:No issue with that. They're very morally ambiguous.

The Starks can take a stabbing. Let's just hope none lose their heads.

Once again, the moral of the story is if you a Stark you gon get shanked.
