IF this is a hidden GNC for the show, will the miserable folks in here eat crow about it? Or will they still be mad because the show didn't telegraph that move and make it super obvious?
I will just bitch about the writing because willingly handing Rickon over to Ramsay is fricking retarded.
Right now I'm in the "that was Shaggy's head and there is no GNC" camp, but why wouldn't the Umbers just kill Rickon and present his head to Ramsay?

Which I think is more or less the same in the books. They take over the castle and bivouac there for a bit. They frick a couple of times and Rob feels guilty/in love... Boom guilt wedding.
Sorry for putting the word bastard in your mouth.

Despite all the arguing in here, let's come together over some old fashion hodor roasting

Speaking of Jaqen, did they explain in the books why he was there in the first place when Arya met him? It seemed strange that he would be part of an army, much less get captured. If he explained it in the show, I missed it and would like a refresher if someone knows. Definitely Hodor on that one.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I know I'll eat as much crow as anyone wants to serve me while I dance the biggest jig you've ever seen if the show actually does pull off the GNC.
Hell, I pray to the 7 gods, the drowned god, the red god, the tree gods and any other gods that Davos doesn't believe in that the show pulls off the GNC.

Only good pic I could find of shaggydog:
Doesn't look quite as dark as the dead one to me, but we will see.

The Smalljon just said in this episode his father "died on his own". The Greatjon did not attend the RW in the show
In the books, the Greatjon is still presumed alive at the twins.

Guest's rights and kin-slaying are very big no-no's and the Boltons have broken both of them.
Which makes me think the GNC is still in play, even if it's not to the Frey in a Pie extent as the books.
Ramsey is crazy, but he's not stupid enough that he'd just buy anything that says Rickon is Rickon. Whether that's Shaggydog or not it was going to take that kind of jolt to distract him from the loyalty farce. They also have to convince us, as watchers and readers, that it might not be happening. Where's the fun in us knowing its 100% going down?

Well Frey pie was pretty badass.
You also have the important line Roose says right before he dies about mad dogs being put down. The pay off for that line, followed by Ramsay killing him, is having everyone betray him. As I said earlier, no one other than Hodor would buy the idea that Roose was poisoned and Walda and her newborn just randomly disappeared.
The North should want Ramsay gone ASAP.

So is everyone excited for the pink letter we will probably get next week atleast?

I think many will still have a problem with the Umbers willingly handing over Rickon. Everyone in the north knows how crazy Ramsay is. For all they know, Ramsay could have killed or tortured Rickon on sight.
Also, while I admit a small detail, wouldn't a boy raised in the north know the difference between a wolf and a direwolf? We have to believe that is really shaggydog. fricked up by the Umbers.

I hope we get to hear it being read in Ramsay's voice. That combined with the look on Jon's face as he reads it could make for an awesome scene.

I'm curious as to where LF will fit in next week. He was in the previews. And it seemed like Sansa was already at the wall

No, the show changed it into a real love story. While it does lessen Robb's character and honor a bit, not a terrible change for a tv show.
