People bitching about honest discussion of the show (good or bad) is getting to be really annoying.
It's a fricking message board to talk about shows and discuss how they could be better. If you don't like negative posts then just skip those posters or move on.

This. I personally didn't enjoy last nights episode. Thought it sucked. But I thought the previous episode was one of the best. The show is going to have it's ups and downs, and it's going to be very different than the book in some storylines. I think I like that though. Will make reading the book, if that ever happens, all the more enjoyable.

Depends on what you consider discussion. I'd hate to see these threads go the way of the TFA threads where there were definitely people crying for page after page over how awful it was, when it really wasn't awful by any stretch. It had holes but it wasn't off the cliff worthy.
Constructive criticism I think most can handle. But if it's OMG I'M GOING TO QUIT WATCHING BECAUSE ITS NOT A WORD FOR WORD ADAPTATION then just STFU, quit watching, and wait for the books to release.

I mean UncleBlazer was probably over the top, but criticizing a relatively poor rendition of an iconic scene from the books has somehow generated 20 posts worth of OMG HOW CAN YOU CRITICIZE THIS MUCH.
The show has some bits that are being paced out better than the book (Tyrion) and some that are clearly worse (Dorne). TOJ was going to get criticism, and people wanted to see the iconic dialogue for that scene.
I'm not sure why people seem so upset that people are criticizing one scene even though there has been a well balanced discussion of a lot of aspects of this episode.

It's because there are posters that are constantly whining about every single detail. Some are warranted, some are absurd.

Yeah notice the emphasis on the word now. I've never called it terrible until last night's episode. I don't come in here and bash it on a weekly basis.
I don't nitpick. Like some other poster said, i don't care if they changed shaggydog's head, changed locations for places, etc. I don't care much for all that because it has to do with budgets and tangible property. And I don't get upset. I actually never comment about that stuff.
What I do care about are characters and occasional specific scenes. Such as TOJ last night. It is my opinion that they butchered it, and that it cost more and took more time to go with the direction they went compared to the book. Others can disagree, but that is my opinion.
And I'm not one to 'love to hate" a show, which is why I said I wasn't sure if I would be watching the next episode. i haven't nitpicked or repeatedly bashed every episode, just stated my opinion and melted a bit where others could have disagreed. They chose instead to just call me a miserable sob.

I admit I melted, but I agree with what I said.

Exactly! People act like I was criticizing small details or that I wanted every single scene to be just like the book
Good post CorporateTiger

Well when for some it's a week to week thing about how it's not a perfect adaptation, it gets to be a bit much.
It'd be nice to discuss some of the other storylines at this point honestly. Like I said earlier, they've worked Arya's beautifully and because everyone is bitching about Dorne or TOJ it's just kind of getting glossed over.
I particularly enjoyed the Waif trying to pull out of her that she wanted the Waif on her list. Or the Waif's utter disappointment when she sees Arya becoming "No one".

Except you've bashed me, where I haven't criticized every single detail. I don't care about details.
The 2 things I bashed were TOJ and Varys character. Hardly details, or bitching just to bitch. You just can't handle any negativity about the show and want to bitch yourself

I mean you pulled the "I'll stop watching or else!?!?" card. For someone who is admittedly hung up on a handful of details that doesn't help your case much.
This is one of the best shows on TV. A shitty Dorne or an imperfect TOJ adaptation doesn't change that.

I think a lot of people are holding off on Arya talk until next week. It seems like the other shoe is about to drop for her, so I await that part with baited breath.
Threatening to quit watching over TOJ is stupid and Dorne is pretty shitty in the books too. I'm just more surprised D&D managed to make it worse. It's an accomplishment in a lot of ways.

hmmm, there's a few ways to read her response. By "no one" can't she be referring to the waif after all? Clever word play on Arya's part IMO.

And on the other side, please stop just blindly dismissing any criticism of the show. I said I liked last night's episode, but the Tower of Joy was just such a huge disappointment to me and I'm sure many of you.
I just don't want these threads turning into the poliboard and blind criticism of other posters. If you disagree with me, tell me why, and we can discuss it. Not "frick you, OM posters are miserable pieces of shite". I don't want this turning into ASOIAF boards where any criticism of the fat man and what he wrote are to be discouraged. This is the game SJW play, and we're better than this.
And I'd give this last episode an 8 out of 10 and the one before that a 9.5 out of 10. Aside from the premiere, I'm not all that negative about the season and am enjoying the ride. Just because I really disliked one scene doesn't mean I'm burning down the forest for the trees. Let's just get back to how we were say during Season 4. Let's just all on both sides calm the frick down.

I'm interested in seeing where it goes with her sight back. I think most have read the Winds of Winter chapter that GRRM released and we could very well get to that point on the show.

I guess I'm done bitching for now. The ToJ thing just ticked me off because they seemingly made unnecessary minor changes (like having only 2 kingsguard there, but if Ser Hightower is up in the tower, then that is a moot point), and I would've loved it if they had kept more of the dialog from the show. But I'm over it now.
I'm more pissed about what they are doing to Rickon and the Umbers, but hopefully the supposed extra that leaked out the whole Battle of the Bastards scene is full of crap, and the GNC is actually in full effect. {I'm going to take this out since it might possibly be spoilers if the extra leak turns out to be true.}
But yeah, I'm through. And in my defense, I usually don't bitch a whole lot about this show. But for some reason, last night's episode rubbed me the wrong way.
