Trust me, I hope like hell Rickon is safe. I always thought that he'd be the Stark that ends up being the Heir of Winterfell (I figured Jon would be a Targ, and Bran would be stuck in a tree). But I just think the show is about to crap all over that. I hope I'm wrong.

I completely agree. It's so predictable though.

I doubt the Watch was in a rush to tell everyone they betrayed their commander. Plus The events at the wall happened over the course of 2 days. Doubt there's any time to let everyone know Snow is dead

It's unlikely anyone knows he's dead to tell Sansa that unless they run into a deserter at the wall or something

Yeah I just think LF isn't going to let her go up there. I hope she does though. We need something like that. It would be really refreshing.

I know I have beaten this horse before, but I will be pissed if we watch Ramsay reek-ify anyone else much less Rickon. We have seen that plotline. There's no point in doing it again.

Just have Ramsay March out and get betrayed because he doesn't understand northern politics. Get this over with.

I think that'll be what his present is.

It's perfect because Roose would know the Umbers won't betray Stark. Ramsay is so up his own arse he obviously thinks everyone is beneath him. So he marched out to get this "present" and then boom LF/Manderly/Umber/Wildlings fricking wreck him.

Perfect payoff for Roose's death and Ramsay's douchery.

From the S6 preview, LF is definitely in the North

I really hope Sansa puts an end to him.

Yeah that preview is the basis of my prediction.

On the show he never stormed Dragonstone and ended up burned. He's locked up by the High Sparrow/Faith Militant for crimes of general queerness.

ETA: Nevermind, I see that was in response to differences between the two at this point.

Ok, first time posting since this season started.

I was prepared to hate this season. Episode 1 didn't help, the Dorne story is terrible. The targaryeons tried to take Dorne and failed. The big black dude (Crap I forget his name) was a famous fighter, just gets stabbed in the back and dies. They kill the prince and all of dorne is supposed to be OK with these 3 chicks murdering everybody of importance. Horrible story line. Hopefully that was just ending the story.

The other thing that sucks is that Arya, in two episodes, has 4 1/2 minutes of airtime. Cmon. She's my favorite character and for the past 12 episodes have been pretty weak given there was plenty of good story to follow.

But other than that, I was pleasantly surprised. I don't love the way they are taking everything, and I wish they would have left Jon dead for another episode. But melisandre has become a really really good character. Not that she was ever a bad character, but there's just more depth now.

Best Jon resurrection... Mel does her ritual just like in the episode. She leaves thinking it failed, the episode ends with Jon's body on a lot pyre. Next episode, hard open to TOJ. Reveal R + L = J. Cut back to the wall, Jon comes out of fire like Dany.

Considering it would firmly establish he wasn't a wight, make it clear he is a Targ (for the Hodors), and just twist the fricking knife on Jon being dead for an additional week.

Only at the end of the episode we saw him wake up. Is he gonna go back to sleep for a little while as they light him on fire?

Yea, he'll be the first family member she actually SEES since her dad was killed, so even if she thinks hes a bastard, she'll still be elated

Agreed. In both books and show, she never really seemed that close to Jon (if I remember correctly, she didn't really consider him a brother in the books), but she was happy to hear he had become Lord Commander. Seeing as she has been through even more in the show, she probably would be thrilled to see him.

Yea closing the episode with him still laying there would have been pretty sweet. It would have pissed a ton of people off but I'd prefer more suspense.

Revealing he's a Targaryeon now would be a little early I think. Maybe not. But I think that happens in season 8.

Want did Davos care so much about resurrecting Jon?
