did anyone else think that scene left it open to think that they THINK they killed the Blackfish and they are wrong?

..it was headed towards terrible after last week's Arya events anyway. It's bad, but in relation to other stupid shtt this season it's middle of the road for me.

Brynden should have swam out and joined Brienne and Pod. That would have been a good payoff for this arc.

Also agreed on Arya, she should be dying of sepsis right now.

The show has been hit or miss with fight scenes. When they have an older actor who might not be up to it, they may not have confidence in shooting/cutting (with a stunt double) the scenes in a satisfactory/time efficient/cost efficient way. They developed those habits with the early season battle scenes that were often aborted or only reported through narrative.

When you have a Jason Momoa in a role, you have more flexibility in how you stage and shoot the stunt sequences. He's a fit guy and is teachable for the close ups/short cuts. When you have great actors like Ian McElhinney or Clive Russell - their fight scenes might be no more credible than any scene set in Dorne, for example.

Sorry, you have stunt doubles and other methods, this is not a excuse. If they can have a stunt double walk of atonement 100% nude for Cersei, they can figure this out.

In the books, the Martells are Targ loyalists. Both Oberyn and Doran.

So when you say "Dorne is far from" historically, you are wrong.

Resisting being conquered is not the same as recognizing a royal family.

This sounds like fan fiction to me.

Well, in the books Arya obeyed the kindly man and made her first kill. They have totally diverged from the books and it doesn't work that we'll for her storyline.

I thought last night was a solid episode. Yes Arya was a little spry for getting stabbed a bunch of times, but this is a world with dragons and individuals walking around that were killed a few times. It doesn't really bother me as she is going home and she is trained to be a badass murderer.

I really wanted the Clegane Bowl, but this actually makes way more sense as far as the show goes. The book could still make it happen. (The show could too for that matter) I'm very interested to see how this whole trial plays out.

Only thing I hate is Jaime and his continued devotion to Cersei. He is still knighting for her where in the books he has clearly given up. At least they are still showing his new found honor.

Bastard Bowl is going to blow the hinges off. Wun Wun is going to die, but I bet he kills over 100 before he goes down. I still think a fight between Ramsay and Jon is stupid. Jon is wielding a Valyrian steel sword and is castle trained his entire life. Ramsay grew up in the woods. He might be good at skinning, but him wielding a sword effectively is stupid.

I'm thinking in E10 we'll see her get off the boat in Westeros. Not sure where she'll head though once she's there.

My question is, why in the frick have we not seen bran in three episodes now? To me, his storyline is 100X more interesting than Arya.

I agree.

Ep 7 storyline for Arya was just silly. There's really no defending it once ep 8 showed her bleeding out in Lady Crane's room and getting patched up.

It was lazy writing fricking confirmed.

But I suppose they feel they've earned a mulligan, having made the best TV show ever.

By far my least favorite episode of the season.

I don't know, it didn't have a GOT feeling to me while I was watching it if that makes any sense.

I'm guessing they're saving him for the big finale.

Jon was effectively beaten by a street-trained fighter at Crasters. Not out of the realm of possibility for Ramsay to be a dangerous foe for him.

A big part of that was that Jon was wielding a bastard sword in tight quarters, and the other guy had knives. It's no real use knowing how to swing a sword when you can't swing your sword.

I'm curious as well. Word has to be getting around that Jon Snow and Sansa are raising an army in the north, but will she go to them? She's now a trained assassin with a target list so perhaps she will get to work on that before reuniting with the family.

Her bloody face was hanging on the wall. I think it's a safe assumption that she died in the dark.

I laughed a lot in this episode, which isn't really what I want to do in GoT

The arya stuff was so stupid. So shes gonna hangout with the person who has a contract on her head, whom she was supposed to carry out, by the group she just betrayed? said lady is also a doctor.

Also not even show a fight between the two? just cut the candle and screen goes dark. We all knew she would live so a fight would have been better than a dark screen and a blood trail to a random face.

then the exchange with Jaquen wasn't great either.

Speaking of not showing a fighting scene, thanks for showing blackfish die.

And I thought the scene where Jamie waves to brienne was retarded, and so unnecessary. She just told Jaimie that if he invaded they would then be enemies, right after he finds out blackfish is dead, you could assume his first thought would be brienne. But I guess the show needs to cater to the retards.

tyrion has been shite this season and a lot of his lines are forced and awkward.

Terrible episode, after a ton of build up episodes we get another one. Hounds story doesn't move forward, dany shows up but we have to wait till next episode, all we see in KL is that mountain is a beast( we already knew that) and no trial by combat, did not need a whole episode to deliver that

But hey at least that showed a penis, that's cool and edgy.
