Just checking in to say that I'm at the start of the big fight and my buffering fricking stalls. Haven't read anything yet but I'll be back asap.

This.
Just re-watched and I feel disturbed all over again.

It's easier to stomach on your re watch.
I know this show, this story, isn't real, but it brings out real emotions in you. It makes you want things that you know better than to hope for.

Hell, how about the first episode when Jaime pushed a damn child out of a window!

Never read a page of one book but I did predict a double death
No way the imp dies

What the hell was that even about, though?
I wish I knew. I hope it has deeper meaning. Maybe a foreshadowing of sorts?
He spoke of his moron cousin crushing beetles. Mid speech, Tyrion picked up a beetle, which he later set free. Is it just a reminder of his character? That he wouldn't even "hurt a fly"? Or does it mean he's not a moron? Does it even have a meaning?
The moron cousin also died senselessly. Kicked by a mule or something. Does it just mean "shite happens. You can't always explain it."?
I don't know. Hordor.

I know it's probably blasphemous for me to say, but this was a bigger stomach punch type feeling than the red wedding for me
The only part of the red wedding that really had me like oh shite was the unborn kid getting stabbed 5 times
This was just brutal. frickin Oberyn, just finish him off. frick. Ugh.
And I didn't get the impression that the Moutain died

Same here, this was the most brutal/devastating scene in the series, IMO.

but geoffery dying, though

That. Was. Awesome.
Sad that Oberyn had to die, but holy shite that was an incredible scene. Everything from his taunting to the brutal death was fantastic.
DAMN

The beetle speech was about the rationality behind the needless "murder" of the beetles. Tyrion wanted to know if there was a motive for his cousin or if the deaths were just pointless.
Applied to the show at large, is there any point in all this death?
