Anyone else think that the Battle at the Wall has been terribly set up? I remember reading and thinking like oh shite, they have 100,000 people & giants and a horn and thinking that the Watch had no chance.
In the show, I feel like they make the army seem like it's 20 people and I feel like the non readers aren't excited or worried about this. Maybe it's just me though.
Yeah, the fact that Joffrey was there added to it in thinking they may lose this battle since that count needs to die. Allister is there, and Slynt is as well, although I doubt the Hodors have a clue who he is, but those can die without any longterm ramifications. I think they know they'll find a way to win, and some are beginning to remember that Stannis was going up there.

Maybe Edd will be fetching that block this season.

Someone should make a gif of Gregor crushing his head and upvotes (or downvotes) popping out.

A Hodor I know is wondering why Jorah didn't just take the letter from Barristan and kill him.

Silly, Hodor. That's a death wish.

Not going to lie, but I grew bored with that long arse monologue about the simple Lannister cousin who crushed beetles. I, like a lot of people in here, was looking at the minutes left on the HBOGo timer and wanting the duel to happen.

About to be some pissed off Hodors. Don't let cokes see this.

So I just watched the "inside the episode" thing on the extras. Turns out the spear oberyn was using was poisoned.
Mountains dead.

Yep. That was a waste of time. They should have had Tyrion and Oberyn talk about crowning Myrcella and about the poison he was going to use on the Mountain.

I was too. But the duel is kinda short. Only thing left out was Tyrion yacking and laughing hysterically. Might happen in ep 10 though

They wasted time with the Missandei-Greyworm "if only he had a dick they could fall in love" story too. Just another excuse for HBO to show tittays....sorry guys.
I'd much rather have had a quick scene with Jaime visiting Tyrion (instead of that weird monologue) and Tyrion talking to Oberyn again in the cell.
As for the Ramsay Theon scenes...I had no problem with them. And I'm thinking since they're going to Winterfell in E10-ish that the fake Arya storyline will come into play early on in S5.
Seriously...Oberyn getting his skull crushed in in both the books and the show was upsetting...but I was so disturbed after I read that Prince of Winterfell chapter. Ramsay is such a monster. My skin was crawling after I read that chapter.

Well, he's already there. Winterfell was in the forefront as was the theme, but I really don't expect the Hodors to get that. I think we're done with Theon and Ramsay for the season.

Sansa brought it in that scene. She is now officially a player.

Why?

That was definitely her "sacking of Astapor" moment.
